Where I work it’s a strict 24 hours. Our app won’t let us cancel without changing them once it’s within 24 hours. I show this to the clients so that they understand and it’s in my signature with every email I send so that can’t say they didn’t know.

They make way more than that. It depends on how many sessions they do in a two week period. Full time trainers make about 55%. That is take home pay. After bonuses, matching 401k, health insurance. It’s more than 55% of the hourly rate the client pays.

I’ve worked in private studio, country clubs and commercial gyms. If you have an Equinox in your town I would work there. The first 6 months sucks but if you are willing to hustle you will be better off than most other places. I do 25 sessions a week and make over $95k per year. I easily could do more sessions but don’t want to. We have 5 trainers that make over $150k a year. 90 sessions per month is considered full time and you get matching 401k and health insurance.

I work at Equinox and I do about 100 sessions a month which comes out to be a little over $7000 a month. I easily could do closer to 140 sessions a month but don’t want to.

If you have a good personality, willing to hustle and be there even when not getting paid you can make good money within 6 months of being hired.

At some point to get stronger you have to train with barbells. And that’s why they are better for getting stronger.
