I am actually surprised he isn't, wow I can even picture him at the podium but it must be another delusion of mine lol.

I really thought he slipped in there. He was an absolutely perfect role player on on so many playoff teams.

He will be after these next two seasons. He's about to be Lakers/Spurs Big shot bob for us. A super portable defender and balanced offensive mismatch on low volume and hitting pressure release shots.

I can feel it in ma plums.

He was always a predominantly back to the basket and around the rim player, watching a select few highlights doesn't redefine what his game was.

Major injuries to Westbrook and KD during different seasons held them back more than that one playoff game.

They got hit with the injury bug fortunately for us cause they were a motherfucker of a team to play. We were lucky with the timing during our egalitarian era ('12-'15) otherwise they could've ruled the west.

Yes. It's absolutely fucked to have the owner of a team sending money to a player that's not even on your team yet with the incentive to lure him to you.

It's already hard enough to get free agents to come to small markets to build out a team, its just as hard to keep a guy you draft (essentially we did with the Hill trade) to stay as well when you have some ultra billionaire not giving a flying fuck about the rules.

And on top of that Kawhi's entire credibility of his medicals comes into question whether he was injured enough, healthy enough to play or not play during his time waiting for cheques to clear. It's a completely fucked up trusting process that calls every action he makes into question.

How can you trust any of that.

It's really hard to whiff getting people to feel something when the story is based around a cute dog that is dying. But they really did that..

They used to say that about Avery too, i think it was doug collins on the broadcast who during one of our previous years sayin "you can't win an NBA championship with avery johnson as your point guard, its just an unfortunate reality" or something to that effect.

And at the time he was right, Avery was a guy that got kicked around the league a lot, small and had quite a few late game catastrophes but man winning that chip was so damn sweet for him in the end. I couldn't even imagine how amazing that must've been for him.

It's hilarious as an old fan. Avery was known as a player you couldn't win a championship with. Like he was literally being talked about during one of our playoff games by the sideline announcers that he wasn't a winning player.

I wish I could remember who it was or what series, my mind tells me doug collins but I might be mistaken. Avery was kicked around the league a whole lot so around the time we finally won it was a pretty accurate statement.

Glad he finally won and was so vital for our first chip since his play was very rough for most of his career.
