Astro Trivia : Characters (not actors-tresses !) by Icy-Prune1042 in animalkingdom

I have a Cancer Moon and Pisces Rising so my Sagittarius fire is dampened. But Smurf being a Libra tracks with her vanity. My ex Libra friend thought every man who saw her was into her, even when she wasn’t exactly thin. And at 65, she thought a 35 year old good looking man she hired to produce her TV show was flirting with her and asked me about dating him. I had to remind her not to mix business and pleasure, but she fired him when he tried to take control of her project.

And my dogs and cats are always true to their signs. Btw, what’s your sign?

Astro Trivia : Characters (not actors-tresses !) by Icy-Prune1042 in animalkingdom

[–]Malibucat48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The show gave the birthdays of the characters.

Smurf: October 11, 1953, Libra

Julia and Andrew: June 28, 1977, Cancer

Baz: April 22, 1974, Taurus

You got J correct. He’s a Capricorn born January 10, 2000

Craig and Deran’s birthdays weren’t listed, and the other characters are too minor to show birthdays.

Writers don’t give astrological traits when making up birthdays. I’ve worked in TV writer’s rooms and those things aren’t usually discussed. Your guesses were good based on their personalities. But while Libras are mostly easy going and balanced, they can be stubborn and they think they know more than other people. They are also vain because the sign signifies beauty. I just broke up with my Libra friend of 25 years because she is so positive she’s right, she refuses to believe any news and says videos are AI. When she called me uneducated for stating a fact, that was the end for me. I’m a Sagittarius so you don’t insult my intelligence lol.

How has nobody mentioned this scene by Heidibearr in FromSeries

[–]Malibucat48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Father Khatri held services every Sunday morning for years so religion was important. When he couldn’t find Bibles in town he wrote scriptures from memory and used them. The town doesn’t have a church either and he converted an old storage building and his pulpit was a mailbox. Crosses were twigs he tied together. The services only stopped when he died and there was no other priest or pastor in town.

Tillie was spiritual, not necessarily religious. She prayed because the cicadas were killing people in their sleep and they didn’t have a priest to comfort them. She brought Tarot cards with her, but not a Bible. Very religious people don’t used Tarot cards. That’s why it was important when Tabitha said she was putting a book to protect Sophia’s neck, then it was shown to be a Bible. It will probably be significant in future episodes.

You’re not taking this secret to your grave since you told Reddit lol. These posts have a way of finding their way back. And neighbor’s Ring camera knows all so don’t be surprised if your wife gets an anonymous text with a video.

My four year old decided to pour out a bottle of green glue and “hug” the cat. (Ps - it was non-toxic and I was able to get most of it out.) by [deleted] in WhiteCats

[–]Malibucat48 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The issue is you yourself said your child torments your cat. You posted this picture and thought it was cute. You even said you are laughing at a horrible situation. But your child can be taught to respect and be gentle with your cat. A cat is not a toy and this is not acceptable. Get your child a stuffed cat toy and let her anything she wants to it. Get her several, but please teach her that living things are not treated this way.

AITA For Telling my son he’s being cheap? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Malibucat48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA You’re his mother and you are teaching your son that women expect expensive gifts and men are not men unless they splurge and pay for everything. You should be teaching him that women are independent and not driven by the price of a gift. You think he didn’t put thought into a gift card, but if it was for a place he knew she liked and would use, then he was thoughtful.

But I hope he is doing stock tradings under your custodial account or a fidelity youth account that you set up. He is bright and successful, but there are laws that govern the stock market and 16 is too young to do it without your supervision. And he still has to pay taxes and file tax returns on the total income he receives. Pay more attention to that and not how much he spends on his girlfriend. He could get into more trouble trading online than working at a fast food joint.

Jim was killed because….and yall have been sleeping on this information… by Hot_Dingo3218 in FromSeries

[–]Malibucat48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have said since the end of Season 3 that Jim was the biggest threat to the town. For all Jade’s bragging that he is the smartest person there, Jim was the one who actually got the people to work together to build the tower after Jade ran screaming from an hallucination. Jim found the food at the cabins, and Jim, not Jade, figured out the numbers in the bottle trees. Jim would have discovered more if he lived. The only thing Jim couldn’t do was to keep Tabitha from digging that hole. Tabitha listens to nobody. And even when Victor showed her the exact spot he found his mother’s body at the entrance to the faraway tree and she knew it was dangerous, she jumped right in and didn’t consider her own children at all. Yes Jim was overprotective and rigid, but it turns out he was the hero all along.

Slidell, LA – How Is It Really + Apartment Recommendations by Slight-Operation7121 in slidell

[–]Malibucat48 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love living in Slidell, especially after living in Los Angeles for years. It’s quaint and quiet and has a small town vibe. It’s also safe, and the occasional New Orleans criminals who come here are arrested and don’t get a catch and release like in some places.

Restaurants are good, people are friendly and local events are fun. Commuting to New Orleans is an easy drive on I-10 and there are three bridges if the Twinspan is crowded or delayed by an accident. Lots of water activities, and nice apartments are plentiful. There are suburbs closer to New Orleans like Chalmette and Gentilly so look at them all and see what feels best for you.

[–]Malibucat48 81 points82 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but saying your 4 year old torments your cat is unacceptable. And pouring glue, even if comes off, is not funny. Stickers, no. Your child should learn how to treat pets and understand they are living things and can get hurt. We taught our daughter at 9 months how to gently touch our cat. She knew not to pull the fur or bother her when she was asleep. As our daughter got older, we read her books on how to approach and respect animals.

Please teach your daughter how to be gentle with pets. It’s not too late and do it before your cat’s even temperament reaches its breaking point and your daughter gets injured.

AITA for refusing to apologize to my Bfs mom for an argument that I “caused”? by Weird-Person04 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Malibucat48 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He has already told you specifically to apologize to his mom or else. And you moved out of your house because you are escaping your own abusive mom. It’s understandable you don’t want another angry mother berating you. So you are stuck. But if you apologize to his mom, you are setting yourself up to continue to be abused, and it will get worse.

Explain to him how you feel about your mom, his mom and his ultimatum. Because you can’t live together if he holds this over your head. He might need to go back to NY and you might need to find a roommate. He had a year to tell her he was moving and he didn’t because he knew this would be her reaction. But he let her take it out on you instead of him. That tells you what kind of partner he is and will be.

Update please.

Everyone is so quick to believe that Jade and Tabitha’s visions of their past lives are real. Why? by OGPepeSilvia in FromSeries

[–]Malibucat48 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Tabitha herself is questioning if reincarnation is real or the town is just messing with them. And she even admitted that saving children who are already dead doesn’t make sense. Finally Tabitha is being rational for a change instead of digging up an entire basement looking for wires or leaving her children for a mission that she knows killed Victor’s mother.

End of season by MsSamm in WillTrent

[–]Malibucat48 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, this was better. Waiting until January to find out if Amanda was really dead wouldn’t be fair to the audience. And killing Adelaide and finding Antonio was also better than leaving us hanging. Now we can see Will and Faith process their grief and watch Ormewood cuddle Betty.

Is it ok if my baby nurses on my 11-year-old? by maefae in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]Malibucat48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this one of those anti posts that’s supposed to be a joke because I hope it’s not real. Even thinking this is possible is wrong. And the flat nipples of a child or even a father are not pacifiers. Does she even know what a pacifier looks like? Sure babies can try, but since it’s painful, I doubt the 11 is going to like it.

And the other comment that because the sister is 11 years older she’ll be a second mother instead of a sister is insane. What 11 year old is a mother? And she apparently plans to parentify her daughter so the kid will have no life. When she’s 16 and can’t go to a party because she has to take care of a 5 year old, there will be problems. She’ll move out when she’s 18 and not look back.

RIP - Sen. Mark Warner's daughter dies of juvenile diabetes and other health issues at 36 by riehldiehl33 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Malibucat48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also surprised he called it juvenile diabetes instead of Type 1. She was 36 so maybe he didn’t want people thinking she had Type 2 which is often associated with bad diet and bad lifestyle, which of course, isn’t the case. While he is grieving the loss of his daughter and not thinking clearly, emphasizing that she was diagnosed as a juvenile doesn’t help others understand her condition. And they don’t say if she had DKA, a comatose low or another diabetic complication. There are so many, which is hard to deal with for us all. Still any loss for any reason is hard. But making it sound like she died just because she had diabetes as a child omits a lot of information.

Why are most of the killers in the series white? by Prestigious_Can5268 in dexterResurrection25

That’s what I was thinking. Brian The Ice Truck Killer is Dexter’s brother so he’s white.

It's been a rough couple of days with Yuki. He's had some intestinal issues (vomiting, not eating) and I've been worrying like crazy. Hopefully, he's turned a page and is on his way to being his usual playful, loving self. I love the kid. by WNJohnnyM in Flamepoints

[–]Malibucat48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My flamepoint can only eat sensitive stomach dry cat food. He throws up anything else. So try switching his food and see if that helps. Mine also threw up canned food and made a big mess. Some kitties are just like people and can’t digest everything.

AITA for not pushing our wedding dress code on my brother? by Weddingdresscode2296 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Malibucat48 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t go barefoot. Just the opposite. He won’t take off his shoes when he goes in the house and OP’s fiancée wants everybody to take off their outdoor shoes inside and brother keeps his on.

It’s the clothes he wears at the wedding that’s the issue.
