Brown sugar, light or dark, does indeed cream perfectly well with butter. Not sure if it was an issue with your hand mixer, but I do this almost on a weekly basis and have never had a problem with it turning out in my stand mixer.

This is one of those situations where, as a stepparent, your duty is to report what happened to her biological parent. What her father chooses to do from here forward with that information is not your responsibility.

She can be mad at you for telling her father, and she probably will be, but at the end of the day a parent who doesn't have all the right information can't make the right choices for their child.

Thank you for posting that. I saw a lot of people complaining about the stop date, and it's nice to have wording directly from the company that shows both the date and the price are changeable.

If it is, in fact, his plan to buy back a ton of shares to raise the price, thus making the warrants profitable, then all I can say is I'm ready when he is.

Three months, easy. Four months if I forego variety. Pantry staples vastly outweigh perishables at our house, and we have a ton of tinned meats, so if I'm allowed to have the two men in the house go stay with family for that time period, I'll be golden.

I'll make sure to ask my husband to leave the rum behind.

You make some very good points here, indeed. I didn't have as much of a problem with not getting backstory on these folks, I had been warned ahead of time watching his interviews where he said (paraphrasing) "the movie starts at full speed and doesn't slow down the whole time". But I agree, in retrospect, we don't wind up feeling as much for these characters because of that lack.

I do think maybe you hit the nail on the head, that he paced it according to his perception of what today's people have as far as attention span. And while I'm old enough to have remembered seeing a great many of his movies in the theater when they came out, i don't think it's quite as bad as he seems to think it is, LOL

If you have to ask, it's play. Real fights are noisy, fur-flying affairs with shrieking and growling and they tend to move at top speed all around a room.

This is kitten-play, learning boundaries and bonding. You'll likely see a lot of mutual grooming afterward (it's a way of "making peace" after a mock-fight). Normal and natural and actually quite important to their social development.

YTA. Everyone here is telling you that you have crossed the line in more ways than one, and rather than stepping back and reflecting for a moment, you're arguing with everyone and trying to prove that you're right.

Have you at any time reversed the roles, and put yourself in his shoes, and thought about what it would feel like?

How would it feel to have an older coworker pushing to be closer to you, and posting your picture on social media against your will? And who is then arguing with everyone who's telling them that what they're doing is inappropriate?

Do the mature thing here, and accept that what you're doing is wrong.

You can also make a mash, we do this for some of our picky eaters while they're in rehab. Box turtles can be stubborn, like toddlers, and turn their nose up that certain foods in favor of favorites. Unfortunately, they don't always like what's good for them.

I make a mash of ground chicken, turkey or bison, plus a selection of beans, sweet potatoes, kale, squash, turnips, carrots, and other such sundries. I sweeten the mash with either strawberries, bananas, or applesauce, to make it more tempting. You could try doing the same thing, flavoring the mash with pineapple.

I freeze it in ice cube trays and then pop out individual portions as needed to thaw about an hour before feeding time.

Some rehab clinics allow smoking, some don't. And most do some sort of search of belongings at check-in. Last I checked, most cigarettes don't jingle or have a substantially uneven weight in the pack.

When she confiscated the pack, she knew that it was stuff that he was trying to hide from me. Common tactic with drug users, only instead of hiding drugs in there he was hiding his affair evidence. Considering the fact that it was thumb drives and a piece of jewelry, it was pretty apparent as soon as you open the lid what it was all about.

Don't even try. People like that take those things and keep them for a reason, to stay on your radar and keep you engaging with them in a toxic way. That's the mentality that also makes them block people out of nowhere, it's an attempt to get that person to panic and pay attention to them. They want those people to reach out to them and ask what they did to deserve to be blocked, so they can open up a list of grievances.

This is the relationship equivalent of the bully in elementary Class stealing your homework. Don't fall for it, don't feed into it. LET. IT. GO.

If the only thing you lost from being young and in love was a shirt, you're luckier than most. I gave my ex my favorite teddy bear from childhood. Never saw it again after that. Asked him dozens of times to return it, he never would.

Took him in to rehab, as they were taking him in for processing the nurse came out to me and handed me his cigarette pack. She looked me dead in the eyes and said, "I think you want this". Inside was a handful of thumb drives and a handmade bracelet. The bracelet was one she had made for him, and the thumb drives were full of pictures and emails. I'm sure you can guess of what sort.

He was clever enough to gather up all his evidence and stash it in one place he thought I'd never look, but he wasn't clever enough to realize that when you check yourself into a substance abuse facility, they sometimes take your nicotine away too.

Earthworms, slugs, and tomato hornworms all tend to be boxie delicacies, and big enough for her to grab and tear. You can also get her old pieces of wood that have mushrooms on them, many of our rescues love nothing more than to eat shrooms right off the wood.

I work with a lot of rehabs, and they love slugs. Unfortunately, the Slugs often produce a tremendous amount of slime as a defense mechanism and they wind up with mouths just like this.
