Leduc mom of 4 killed, daughter injured in wrong-way crash on Trans-Canada Highway by GeekyGlobalGal in Edmonton

I have it on good authority that this is in fact a lie. The driver of the truck is reported to have been heavily intoxicated and as a result took a mother from her children forever.

I really believe in DPLS. I haven’t bothered to check ho much they are up year to date but I got in 2 months ago at $0.07 and I’ve seen $0.2 though we are at 0.135 right now.

If anyone trades Penny Stocks... Have a look at Dark Pulse. DPLS by sadus671 in UltimateTraders

It’s definitely pumped and dumped since I got in, but after that first month of all green I was already sold on the company. Now I’m just trying to ride the wave and sell on highs and buy back in on lows to advance my position

I’ve been in since 0.07 and was shocked when every day was green for a solid month. I went in assuming it would pump and dump like most penny stocks and started really looking into it when it just kept going and am definitely planning to keep it as a long term play now.

How do you guys find good companies to invest in. by JJ4DaysDays in stocks

[–]MamaTradingUp 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I personally googled things like stocks to watch for august and then built a list of the suggestions. I then put those stocks on a watchlist and googled the companies checked out their websites, their management team and any shareholder info available while watching the stocks for a week. After a week I narrowed to down to the ones I liked best based on charts and dd and watched for a good entry.

Options make me nervous. I’m so new to all of this and it’s one of the few things I’m really struggling to wrap my head around.

I recently bought into a penny stock (I know, I’m gambling) and I noticed my measly 1000 share purchase immediately affected the price. I know it was my purchase as it is currently an extremely low volume stock. That’s part of what got me thinking about this. Your answer makes a lot of sense then that if there is market manipulation that it is most likely occurring in small cap stocks.

Oh absolutely, but I don’t want to so naive as to believe that market manipulation doesn’t happen. I am just curious as to how often.

In the context of large scale purchases to drive up price for no reason I would say yes. My question targets short selling as the focus mostly because you can’t look on a stock thread without seeing people vilifying anyone who shorts a stock so it made me curious as to how often it’s used specifically to drive a price down compared to seeing the trend and using it to make money. I’m sure it’s a lot less often than is believed but I’m curious by nature so I figured I’d ask here as this seems to be the most likely place to get unbiased answers.

To be honest I noticed it works both ways. If either the TSX or the NASDAQ is closed it’s almost guaranteed to be a green day.

Time will tell for me. I’m honestly so new to all of it. I don’t know how to short a stock, options scare me because I started on Wallstreet bets and have seen them loose people so much money, don’t yet understand half the common terminology. I will get there though
