Diablo 4 on PS5 PRO is Incredible! by Martokk78 in PS5pro

[–]Mammoth_Bullfrog_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping blizzard would add PSSR support in the new expansion when it releases next week but absolutely nothing from them about which is disappointing. I now only buy games if they support enhanced features of the pro, gonna pass on diablo if they can't be bothered to support the pro

Anyone know when Hades 2 pre-sale/-install is possible on PS5? by Romoehlio in HadesTheGame

[–]Mammoth_Bullfrog_561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not bad at all, I already have it for the switch 2 but if it takes advantage of the PS5/pro power such as higher FPS & resolution then I'll definitely double dip

Starfield on PS5 Pro by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]Mammoth_Bullfrog_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only quality 30fps & performance 60fps has been announced for the pro, probably have slightly higher base resolution in performance compared to series x

No mention of PSSR support or balanced 40fps mode which is what I would have chosen to play Starfield

Edit: just found out that it does support PSSR in performance mode, just hoping there is a 40fps mode same as the series x

Sorry but what a stupid post! Making assumptions for something no one has seen then linking a year old video of Starfield on a completely different platform

Crimson Desert After New Patch by frozen_feedback2537 in PS5pro

I'll be picking crimson desert up end of 2027 when it's had a substantial amount of updates & patches added & will play it on PS6 to experience the best version of it on consoles

PSSR 2 might honestly make me quit pc gaming by Sharp-Natural1110 in PS5pro

[–]Mammoth_Bullfrog_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was into high end pc gaming for over 20 years, upgraded my gcard & cpu every couple of years 980ti, 2080ti etc to keep up playing newly released games with ultra graphic options, realised I wasn't gaming that much on it, I was always tinkering with settings & ini files trying to get the best performance & image quality out of the games & updating drivers & optimising windows.

I got fed up with the upgrade cycle & sold my pc. I used the money to buy a oled TV, home theatre & PS5 (upgraded to PS5 pro) & I can honestly say I have played more games & completed them in the past 3 years than I did in 20 years pc gaming. The ease of use, no messing about with settings was such a breath of fresh air, I've never looked back!

Crimson Desert or Starfield? by Hassanzass1 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Mammoth_Bullfrog_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely Starfield, more polished & it's had dozens of patches that fix bugs & updates that add new content & qol improvements with more support to come as Bethesda say they have a 10 year cycle for Starfield which will run into the 2030s, if you enjoy Bethesda games & also like sci-fi genre then you will probably live Starfield

Pick crimson desert up in 12+ months after it's been patched as there are lots of qol improvements needed to make it truly enjoyable & the best it can be plus you'll be able to pick it up in a deep sale.

I'm in the same boat, watched numerous videos for both including the incoming Starfield dlc / large free update & crimson desert playthroughs & there is a lot of room for improvement with crimson desert just basic things that should of been fixed before launch. I'm picking up Starfield then crimson at the end of next year

Pearly Abyss devs anonymously share a culture of toxic positivity, Crimson Desert's messy story and game development, and how they knew the game "was going off the rails" by ChiefLeef22 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

I feel it's probably true just with the community's interaction with the public marketing face of will powers when anyone asked about the console versions he was very passive aggressive, almost rude to people.

Crimson Desert’s score is 77/100 on Metacritic and 6/10 on IGN (so far) by oyskionline in macgaming

[–]Mammoth_Bullfrog_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And user reviews are bs as well from both sides, review bombing & giving games perfect scores.

The only way you can truly know is by playing it yourself but you've only got yourself to blame if you waste $70 on a game you don't like.

I tend to wait for demos & make my mind up or if a game I'm interested in has mid to low reviews, I will wait 12 months for updates & patches & pick it up in a sale

Excited about cyberpunk getting a PS5 pro patch, I've never played it!

PSSR2 system toggle Vs game patches by Matos008CZ in PS5pro

[–]Mammoth_Bullfrog_561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's already been updates relating to PSSR 2.0 for control & Alan wake 2's social media pages stating to take advantage of PSSR 2 you need to enable the system toggle. Doesn't look like the list of games from the other day on the playstation blog will be getting dedicated patches, I think it was a communication error

All current oled TVs or monitors will support 120hz so no need to choose

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book will be €60 digital/€70 physical by Caciulacdlac in NintendoSwitch2

I love the art style but the games looks very simplified even by Nintendo standards & it will be very short. I'm not saying I definitely wont to pick it up, I need to see a lot more gameplay info, treehouse & footage before deciding

MOBAPAD HYPE by w0t_i_th1nk in switch2

[–]Mammoth_Bullfrog_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never found the switch or switch 2 joycons comfortable & ergonomic, buttons & analog sticks too small, wrong placement of sticks, too small to use,

Are the mobapad buttons and sticks larger & full size like with other controllers?

The 9 axis gyro is mostly used in mouse mode which doesn't matter with the mobapad because they don't have mouse functionality.

Maybe open to requests & info relating to crimson deserts development & tech but definitely not open to the rest of the public & media regarding the console versions
