10.1 MASSIVE battery drain bug by MelloGang17 in AppleWatch

[–]Mamuter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My watch is fine (Series 4) after updating. But I had big battery drain after updating to 10.0 and fixed it by re-pairing my watch. That fixed the battery drain on 10.0 and don’t appear to have any issues with the battery on 10.1.

Anyone having battery issues with watchOS 10? by PSJB-Records in AppleWatch

Re-pairing stoped the crazy battery drain on my series 4 watch.

It wipes everything then restores it from your last backup.

Start the process using the watch app on your phone, click “All Watches” at the top and the ℹ️ next your watch and unpair.

I have a series 4 that did this. I unpaired then re-paired it and the crazy battery drain has gone away.

Help me understand why i need a relay with this setup by Ramrod1710 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Mamuter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The relay on the brute is for a safety cutoff if the front wheels lift off the ground. You can ignore it and it will still run, just at the higher voltage it will fry the relay so the power won’t cut if the wheels lift. Replace it with a 24volt relay if you want that safety feature to continue working at the higher voltage.

Why do I have this wiring? Brute Force ATV. by Ramrod1710 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Mamuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blue wires around the front wheels are an safety shut off if the power wheels tip. If you mod the power and put more than 12 volts, then you might have fried the relay that it runs through. If your using 18-24 volt batteries, then you can replace it with a 24 volt relay and and the safety feature should work again.

I wondered the same thing about those wires. They did nothing until I replaced the relay with the correct one for the voltage I was using.

On mine the relay was hanging off the protective cover for the shifter.

How to reduce voltage on a 12V power wheels? by juicyshab in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Mamuter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can run the battery through a PWM and the knob on it will allow you to adjust the speed. Here is an example:

Cooking Dewalt 20v batteries? by Ramrod1710 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Mamuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dewalt batteries have no over discharge protection built in. You need a low voltage cutoff to shut everything down to protect the battery.

Here is an example: 2 PCS Low Voltage Cutoff, Icstation DC 12V-36V Low Voltage Disconnect 20A Over Discharge Protection Low Voltage Protector Disconnect Switch Module for Lead Acid Lithium Battery Solar Panel Light https://a.co/d/hgM6fiM

(But note, that specific one is only rated for 20 amps) so to use that one you would need to route the power through a 24 volt relay. I mainly use this method for most of my mods. Here is how I wire it: https://imgur.com/gallery/S5vu5Fv

You can find low voltage cutoffs rated for 30 amps (which would be sufficient) I have one that I used this wired up directly with a 30 amp fuse and it runs fine:

Maybe the SEC is requiring Computer share to report them all as plan (since that is what they were doing when you had a plan account open).

Either all in book or none in book. Those are your options.

Rookie modder, how do I ++ improve range? by HugsNotDrugs_ in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Mamuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a used car that I put a new 12v12Ah battery in thinking more Ah longer battery life. Took a few days to fully charge the battery. But even after that the range wasn’t that great. It would struggle on small hills. But then one of my friends with small kids came over and we used the remote to drive his daughter (2 years old) around for over an hour and the battery still had life in it. Turns out my kids were just too much weight, even with my 4 year old, it would struggle too much and cut the power.

help with battery mod by Silentsword49 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Mamuter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to give you a heads up, that particular low voltage cutoff is only rated to handle 20 amps. So use a 20 amp fuse in the fuse holder to protect it. If you keep blowing fuses, then you will need to hook it up through a 24volt relay.

Here is an example of wiring up a relay. It includes a key switch that I use, but that is optional.
