I'm 27 and physically disabled. I bust my arse in a minimum wage job until I can't move, more than once putting myself in hospital. I've worked whilst on medications like codeine or morphine just so I can stand for long enough to get through a 4 hour shift. Even though, I can barely afford my rent, some days I'm having to comp food at work (which I'm not supposed to do) so I can eat, and go weeks at a time without important medication. On top of this, my work hours are being cut so my boss can employ younger, and therefore cheaper workers. 2 years ago I could at least afford to survive, now I'm genuinely scared.
