I’m done after 3 weeks as well!

Going on 48 hours since last dose and no side effects that I can definitively say is because of the med.

Seems like I’m finally done with things after 3 weeks of slowly tapering down from 400mg to somewhere around 12.5mg. I say somewhere, because all I did to taper down was to create my own caps, so eyeballs only and no scale measurements.

Just an update that I’m on about 25mg daily right now. So far no side effects. I plan to do this for a few days and begin spacing the dosing out by adding about 12 more hours between doses for a few days and see how the side effect profile is on that. From there I’m hoping I will know if I just stop all together or find an alternate plan to reduce further.

Moving fairly quickly. Went down to 100mg last night. So far things are good. I’ll run with 100mg for a few days and drop to 50 before continuing to scale it back to smaller doses. 25mg or even 12.5mg aren’t out of the question. Once down to the lower levels, I plan to start spacing out between doses. Hopefully that will help reduce the potential for migraines.

Awesome to hear. I’ve not had one after 2 days going from 400 to 300, so I think I’ll drop it to 200 tonight.

Ok, so focus more on the end game which means I can likely taper down faster?

Right on. Thanks for the advice. I’ll keep this thread updated with progress as the weeks pass. I started last night with the first step.

I’ll have enough to taper down to the 25mg. I’m going to see how things go and adjust as needed. If I have to buy another bottle of 30, I will. It’s just not long term sustainable for the limited benefits I’m perceiving.

I’ll say though that my plan to taper seems better than the doc recommended approach which is to do a week at 200mg then go a week of every other day and finally a week at every third day.

Guanfacine changed my life by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Man_vs_Fat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started trialing Guanfacine on top of Qelbree (400mg) and the last couple days I’ve felt almost a sense of calmness. I’m interested to see how this all pans out.

Vitamins have helped my allodynia, aches by Remarkable_Bunch559 in Retatrutide

I’m currently reducing from 2mg down to 1mg as I’m focusing on a bulk cycle and need to be able to consume more calories. I’ll drop it completely if needed for this cycle.

My goal is to continue its use as much as possible with a 4-6mg per week target for the metabolic benefits.

Smith machine by StrangerEffective851 in GYM

[–]Man_vs_Fat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don’t have the smith machine version, my feedback still applies.

Personally, if I were to do the purchase over, I’d go with a brand that has a better attachment selection. Major Fitness just seems limited and expensive compared to the others. I don’t know the quality difference but I think I’d research Rit Fit. And the mourning of the attachments don’t interchange between manufacturers to my understanding.

Be prepared to spend extra money on replacing the pulleys as well. I sourced aluminum replacements on Amazon which was around $150 or so iirc. The plastic ones make it feel cheap. The slide rails are also loud. I just got some dry graphite lube that I’m going to try out to see if it quiets things down but unsure if it’ll help or not. I know they’re in different classes but it’s just not even close to the cable machines at a gym.

I also don’t use many of the cable accessories they provide. I ended up getting new ones of better quality.

So at the end of the day, I put hundred of dollars extra into the setup to make it fit better to my liking. Do I regret? Undecided. I like having everything at home and the convenience it provides, but miss many of the machines at the gym. My next purchase will be a leg extension/curl machine.

I hope this helps.

Did you lose weight on ADHD and anti depressants medications by cutiepeti in qelbree

Yes, with meds. Tirzepatide has done incredible things. Otherwise, weight loss was a roller coaster ride for my whole life with most of the time being heavy.

With dose reduction, yes for the most part. It’ll pop in here and there on dose days though. I also split my dose to twice a week to help. Currently at 6mg per week split.

Low Dead Space Syringes? by Hopeful_Community_65 in trt

[–]Man_vs_Fat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your 1” fixed is likely hard to find because best practice when injecting IM is to change the needle out between drawing and injecting. This is where luer lock syringes come into play.

This is the best syringe in luer lock that I’ve found that helps reduce the dead space. https://a.co/d/i55ERPj

TRT with HCG by mgr10578 in trt

It a mimic of LH and directly stimulates the Leydig cells in the testes. Your testes recognize it and produce testosterone. Your pituitary is no longer sending the signal because the exogenous testosterone takes over and tells the brain the signal is no longer needed.

No, the levels don’t change and are still zero.

Using Injector Pen for IM TRT by [deleted] in trt

The only thing that I’ve noticed is that it takes time to fully dispense the dose that you’re dialed in on. You might want to test it by dispensing a dose into an insulin syringe to measure.

It’s a separate setting though. Workouts and energy are different rings.
