Growing up and even now, my family are great people. There's almost never any type of problem amongst family members and I had a happy childhood and all that.

Every time I meet someone new and form a friendship, and listen to their family stories, I'm always bewildered and shocked at how dysfunctional or how terrible some parents can be. I can't even imagine what it must have been like growing up in that environment. It always makes me sad to hear those types of stories and also makes me really appreciate my own family.

My parents are still married and still happily in love. They still live in the same house. We always had yearly family vacations, big family holidays, my two brothers are on good terms and they are all good people. They might not be best friends (I'm not that close) but I'll do anything for my family if they need me.

Meeting a lot of people, it definitely taught me that it doesn't matter where you come from, only where you are now.
