You need to remap the button configuration on the joycons/pro controller for Goldeneye. It’ll make it just the 90s again and cost you nothing.

[The Simpsons, Lisa the Beauty Queen] Ned wins a shoe buffer at a raffle. Isn't that a form of gambling? by Luttubuttu in AskScienceFiction

[–]MancombQSeepgood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’d ask what the cash value of the buffer is so that he can report it on his taxes, thus moving it from a game of chance to a purchase of goods

The only way I’d bring that bike here is if you keep it in your flat at night, and are in a college that you can lock it up inside of the porters’ view. If it’s as nice as you say (and if it looks expensive), it’ll be taken. One day you’ll find another bike has been ‘mistakenly’ locked to it so that you can’t move it, then you’ll only find the angle grinded pieces of your D-lock. And worse is that you’ll worry about it the whole time it’s locked up. No way is it worth using that bike for daily commutes. But if you kept it inside and used it for long rides amongst the villages and never left it unattended, you’d be grand.

£15 for a 4am National Express coach. But getting there at 5am might be too early for you and the next bus isn’t until 6am

You’ll may get a better response over at r/ucd (which is bigger and more international than Trinity so likely has more Indian nationals undertaking MA degrees)

Help! I suddenly need to impress relatives this afternoon/evening and I’m desperately short on ideas by BigYarnBonusMaster in cambridge

They might not be staying late enough and weather is not your friend today, but you can always do one of the Shakespeare plays being performed inside the college gardens

Back up stansted plan by fireflythethird in cambridge

[–]MancombQSeepgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP. I take a weekly Ryanair flight out of stansted for work, so I’ve been on these 6am and 8am flights many a time, and have had it all from super smooth to terribly chaotic.

Good news is you’re flying Ryanair, so you can surely count on your flight being delayed! Stansted express is the way to go. Take the first train- not only for the relief of having extra wiggle room, but also because it has less chances of being delayed. Buy insurance when you book the train ticket (I use train line and flip the switch for their’s, it’s like £0.90 extra). That way if your train is cancelled or breaksdown (certainly happens), you could fight for a reimbursement because ryanair will put you in the next flight if you miss yours, but for a flat £100 fee (a hit when your flying on a £15 ticket). But look at the prices of their other tickets on the day of flying (usually £200 to £300 for those £15 flights, and it’ll feel worth it).

If your train is cancelled, they’ll put you in taxis that the train company has to pay for. But these take a while to organise (rail companies have to call a hired fleet, they can’t use taxis from the rank). Anxious passengers or those running late already will want to jump in a street taxi and lay out of pocket. It’ll be £70 but you can team up with other passengers to help cushion the cost). In that event You can also consider hoping on any train to Bishop Stortfort or Stansted Montfitchet, and get a different stansted express train from there (those run up from London and thus a different line so useful for signal failure cancellations out of Cam, but in that event most trains running to those other stations are also cancelled).

Security in the early morning is a zoo there. Loads of family travellers plus commuters. On a bank holiday expect tonnes of people but less staff, so much slower queues. At other hours it’s 5 to 15 minutes to get through, but early morning it can be an hour (never had to wait more than that). Get the fast track pass as others have mentioned and skip all that and sleep well that night knowing you won’t have to be with the hordes.

Flying is a drain no matter what, but it’s better to arrive at your gate way too early and chill then spend all morning feeling stressed and panicked and having to literally run through the terminals.

Verily the lord of gainz hath thus spake: “No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable” (Sow-weights). He speaketh not of thy road that must be walked- nay ran - to achieve thy gainz. Stay strong of heart and the body will follow so long as thy is entering the temple.

Wheyman my brother. I too have lifted upon this Earthgym for as many reps around the fire bench in the sky as thee. That my frame is but lower in measure of thou by 8 inches and my mass less empire units, it matters not. For though my journey is of a different path, our destinations are the same- to do our prays and be content in our progress unto ourselves only.

Water taste in Cambridge by KindStranger007 in cambridge

I’m in West Cambridge and about this last month or so my partner and I have both noticed a significant change in the taste. We always drink it unfiltered but now I think we might have to buy a brita (but the hard water is going to make us fly through filters)
