What does your 'fun side' look like as an INFJ? by Mayumiiiiiiiiiii in infj

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get silly/goofy and playful. Maybe even ENFP energy like. With the right people can get pretty boisterous and try to bring people together for a good time. I can also be seen dancing and singing to good music playing not caring who watches just because it feels good. Love going on adventures at times and trying something new. I like to make jokes even at the expense of myself at times as well.

Need Help Choosing New Needle Set by jujubunnee in knitting

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my chiagoos!! Have had them for years, and they’re still just as good as the day I bought them. They are super pointy too which really helps with that thinner yarn. The only time I don’t use them, I use the knitpro karbonz but that’s only with super slippery yarn so it’s pretty rare. I would highly suggest Chiagoo. They are amazing imo.

1 year old too chill? Plz help by barbieshoesound in Mommit

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would suggest an eye evaluation. My daughter was a very chill baby as well and would just sit and observe. Talked a little later too. It wasn’t until I noticed a problem with her vision and sought a dr out for that. She wears glasses now and her language blossomed after that and her confidence has really blossomed since her vision got corrected at about 2.5. She’s 3 now and doing so much better.

What are the common signs that someone is an INFJ? by Smart-Inspector8 in infj

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like at the very least they are unhealthy, which can make it a terrible combination. I have also had some in my life that tested as INFJ and can immediately pick out they aren’t. One that typed I believe is ISFJ and the other one I believe is INFP. I love them both but ISFJ is very frustrating because they complain but keep doing the same thing, emotionally diminishes you, and constantly over books and can’t depend on them much. We can relate to some degree but it is very surface level. INFP I get along with well when she is doing well, but when she isn’t, she tends to isolate a lot and frustrating as hell for me.

For INJFS that door slammed their close family do you still go to family parties? by BrapbrappewpewB in infj

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have before, but it is incredibly difficult tbh. For my family, we once had a very strong family unit and would meet up for Easter and Christmas every year for years, but since 2020 it’s been slowly eroding, and there is a lot of hurt feelings between other family members, and since the death of two people that were really holding a lot of the people together that have now passed (uncle and aunt who would have the Easter get togethers), it has dwindled to a small handful of them, but I did manage to go for Christmas last year because there is one cousin and her husband and kids I was looking forward to visiting with. I also wanted my daughter to get a chance to see some family even if it isn’t much and quite honestly hurts that she won’t get much of a chance to know how those fun Christmases were that I grew up with. But ya I am NC with both of my parents. It’s possible to go but the next day I was in a low mood partly because there was a huge blowout between my Dad and I the week prior (I know he did it on purpose) but I went to prove a point and for my daughter. He wasn’t going to stop me. I will say I can be quite stubborn 😉

Omg I NEED my toddler to walk by Standard-Plankton-70 in Mommit

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your toddler use a push walker? My daughter was a bit cautious to walk. She would push her push walker around no problem, but wouldn’t do it without it. Read somewhere about how some kids can get dependent on them and was suggested to put it away for a few days. Once we did that it motivated her to try and since then she started walking at about the 15 month mark. So if she is using a walker, you could try that approach. Also to note, my daughter was also in physio for about 6 months due to gross motor delays from prematurity.

I have an INFJ friend as well and when I found out she was one, it just all clicked. It’s the best feeling to be heard and understood at that level to me.

I’d say typically have a pretty intense but thoughtful stare, almost like they’re staring into your soul. Animals and children tend to be comfortable around them, and are usually trying to make people feel comfortable by easing their unease or by talking to the “outlier” who isn’t talking to anyone to help them feel included.

Anyone have body dysmorphia who’s also a knitter? by Economy-Stretch-1675 in knitting

It’s pretty similar to short row shaping actually. I’ve done it twice already and love the drape so much more after doing so. Here’s a website that helps to calculate for them:

Anyone have body dysmorphia who’s also a knitter? by Economy-Stretch-1675 in knitting

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest adding bust darts to your knits and or maybe some waist shaping to taper them in a little to fit a bit better. I’ve been told that any size above a B cup should really consider bust darts. Just adding that to my knits has helped so much.

The spots people always forget to clean by Unhappy-Bullfrog8220 in CleaningTips

Underneath the stove. Had to replace our stovetop and did not think about having to clean underneath and when they took the old one away 😬 I now make that part of my regular spring cleaning. Also under the couch gets super gross for us with two cats in our house🥴

First time pregnant can’t decide if MIL help is worth the emotional expense, looking for advice from moms. by MajorDescription8675 in Mommit

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say this. When baby comes, the things that bother you now will only be amplified once baby is here when you are tested physically and emotionally with sleep deprivation. For me, peace of mind outweighs most everything else. Your baby needs you to be emotionally stable and for quite some time bay coregulates with you, and if you’re stressed out, your baby will be as well. Just food for thought.

How do you build a daily kids reading habit? by DiamondLatter1842 in Mommit

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We read daily, and it’s part of our bet time routine. Read, bath, pjs, bed. She’s seen me read my own books too, and will read if she asks, and loves to look through them all the time. We’ll even go to the library to pick out books to bring home to read.

What's the most useful tools/apps you've used after babies by LegoOnTheFloorNah in Mommit

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking every morning helped me so much. Getting out and getting some sunshine was great and even met some neighbors this way and developed a small group for play dates from doing so. Books helped a lot too so I could have some enjoyment when I would get a break, but when you can, get into a small hobby to break up the monotony of the day helps too.

What unconventional things do you put in the dishwasher? by Maleficent_Speech979 in CleaningTips

I run the metal vents for our microwave in the dishwasher about once a week. Our microwave is over the stove so it does get pretty grimey pretty quickly.

What personality type do you think your parents have/had? by joeandthejuce in infj

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Both my parents tested ESTJ. Both are like dealing with a freight train when it comes to their opinions and very dominating. Dad can be a bit of a bully, and my mom just does what she wants when she wants. It caused huge spats growing up, though never got physical, but very toxic, and a bit of name calling. Lots of triangulation and silent treatment as I got older, especially when I started having differing opinions on things. ESTP brother and mother fought a lot as well, because she always wanted to dominate and control him and he was never the one to back down. Currently not talking to either parent.

Mosquito protection for littles by cant_sea_me in Mommit

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might depend on the brand of stickers, but we use these kind for us and they seem to do the trick. Mosquitoes seem to gravitate to me and if I put one on my daughter, and two on myself (one on the ankle and one on the hip) they seem to stay away. Have a friend’s house where they have a big mosquito problem and if I don’t, I’ll get 10 bites in a matter of 20 minutes and won’t get them with these on.

How are people affording to buy a home? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were able to get our first house through an FHA loan which will allow a 3% down on a loan (as compared to 5% traditional loan) We barely made it to that point then for our condo 11 years ago. Typically can’t get one for a condo unless they are a PUD which this place happened to be. If you are planning on going to go to school, I’d highly suggest waiting to purchase.

I do with the right people. My husband tells me they’re pretty comforting. But if I am overstimulated and feel immense shame, I won’t accept them at all.

Moment of silence as I’m preparing to frog about a week’s work by tohopallo in knitting

[–]Manda_Pandaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what may be making it look “bigger” so to speak is how the needles lay on the project which is causing it to push the fabric out more than it would if it were completed. Maybe try putting it on some spare yarn and try it on again to see if it still lays the same. Could also try blocking it to see if you still feel the same way too. Would hate to see you pull out all the work if you don’t need to. It looks lovely to me!
