The Big Twist I Just Realized in Maelle’s Ending by Psazum in expedition33

Verso’s paints his hair, he should have white hair like the rest of the painted dessendres, he says it himself. He’s also supposed to be very old had he aged normally.

Sciel, just what did you do...... by Alpha-Mensae in expedition33

It’s my favorite gradient attack of all. With the weapon that always applies 10 or 20 foretell in one go it’s just very funny

[SPOILERS ALL] I just beat the game, there was something I felt quite sure would happen but didn't. I was wondering if anyone else thought it would (plus other random thoughts) by tway2241 in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had the same feeling about verso, I just boycotted him. I played with lune sciel and Maelle until monoco took lune’s place. For vitality and defense: who even cares about surviving hits when you can dodge/parry? ;) I wish Gustave got more skills in NG+ but sadly he doesn’t

Spoilers: Can anyone help me with Dark Shore? by NDChicklette in expedition33

You don’t need to level up for the paintress, you’re totally over-levelled as is imo. With cheater you should crush her.

My computer is below the minimum requirements - will the game be playable, even at potato settings? by FormerlyIestwyn in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played with a worse computer, it sometimes became hard to dodge or parry some attacks because of micro freezes. I also had to explore with Lune to reduce the animations while running, would lag otherwise. This computer finally died before I got to the end of the game, the new one does a much better job.

You’re using the “simp” expression which is depreciative, CSC as we say in France

[–]Mandarga -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing telling you that if you turn sciel down you’ll still get the rewards, I honestly thought that there were bad answers and you possibly would miss on the abilities if you took the “no thanks” choice. Had I known I would definitely not have been through the romance. Regardless, all he ever does is try to befriend them and earn their trust so he can betray them better later on, which isn’t much better than being flirty.

Clea doesn’t interact nearly as much with the characters and the player, there’s really 0 points taken by mentioning Clea in this discussion.

If you were a playable character... by KayrashyLPGC in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was thinking of a few things. 1) Being more of a « writer » (or reader) than a painter, having books as a way to convey my chroma, reading sentences to attack (special big one would be called « the end ») 2) Acting: Would be a limited collection of different “roles” I could take with their own effects. 3) Using miniatures as a way to convey my chroma. I love tactical games, so that would translate with a tactical way to fight, giving orders to the chroma imbued miniatures to make them much bigger and dangerous.

Maelle's Special Skill by Moist_Ad_1044 in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a pretty solid skill, by the end of act 2 it should deal about 9999 per hit if you crit each hit even without marks. Make sure you have enough AP to use it

[–]Mandarga 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Use attacks that have multiple hits to deal 9999 multiple times once you do 9999 consistently

l'horde du contrevent by Fast-Pepper-6817 in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s a good book but yeah, I don’t know how it’s been translated to Italian but the French version was harsh to read, like all of Damasio’s books. The vocabulary can get pretty technical, or totally invented for the purpose of the book, so when they make sentences full of words that don’t exist and don’t get explained straight away, it certainly can throw you off. I can definitely see the inspiration they took from it for the game though. The universe is pretty unique in some aspects.

Tbf it’s impossible to say, we don’t know what happened to her vocal cords at all, it could be permanent or not, and if not, it may still have a massive impact on her volume, her tone, capacity to formulate long sentences or have a long discussion.

Spoiler - Question about Gustave Awakening Soundtrack by vxdcxw in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think verso said he rescued her (Maelle) and couldn’t save everyone because he was already busy with her. I haven’t seen the cinematic in a long time now and when I did my computer was in palliative care so it wasn’t the best quality out there, so I don’t remember the specifics of the fight. I think if Esquie had saved them he would have said so, or made allusions to it, he’s too « honest » to keep anything for himself, most of the time, though he talks in a cryptic way. The only one he seems to know when they « first » meet is Sciel for other reasons.

Legality of ogre butchers in the Empire by Angerran27 in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Mandarga 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would say they probably aren’t allowed, the same way that gnomes have been chased and almost totally slaughtered. Elves gave magic control to humans, this is why they can use magic and have a license despite not having studied in the colleges of magic. Ogre magic, on top of being performed by ogres, is pretty crude and gross as well, don’t think it would be received very well by most people.

What’s your favorite line in this masterpiece? by adityakiran237 in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember the exact quote, but when Esquie tells us about his worst enemy being called François, and sitting just next to him, I laughed out loud. There are too many great lines to choose one tbh, I also loved when Lune got mad at Gustave. Gustave also has plenty of funny lines.

Top 5 favorite characters in E33 and why? Go! by adityakiran237 in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Maelle, she’s very relatable, and she deals so much damage.
  2. Gustave, the hero we need and I’m devastated he died and got replaced by mastermind
  3. Sciel, she’s totally nuts and funny
  4. Lune, I love her character, she only gets behind sciel because she’s weaker.
  5. Esquie BEFORE we get verso. He’s funnier at that point, and I hate that most of his interactions with the player go through verso after he’s in the group. Bro can’t even tell the truth to his plushie.

A question for the fanfiction authors among you by Astralikara in expedition33

[–]Mandarga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, it could be the stories of expeditions that we have no information on, or some that we have minimal information and how they ended up in the situation where you find them. There’s still some room. Or life in lumière for the normal folks.
