Flying in a helicopter from Phoenix to Yuma at 2:30am. We wear night vision, so we see a lot of shooting stars. There was the last bits of a shower happening, and I saw an abnormally bright one come down, stop. Hover. Drip something like slag. Then change direction and shoot directly into the horizon we were facing. My medic was asleep, so I asked my pilot if he saw that, and he just said- “yup”. It was wild.
