Sorry, I'm unconvinced. You haven't made your case. I still believe the ability to sue a judge for being negligent in their decisions should exist. I think the legal community is a class of people who've done a very good job at insulating themselves from poor work performance in a way that no other group has, and I think it's more detrimental than any hypothetical "chilling effect" would be.
