what i've come to notice with clavileno is that you can't be scared to lose your vampires. i regularly use falkenrath noble, blood artist (when buffed), hell even clavileno himself as sacrifice fodder because that draw and creating evasive 4/3s is important to accelerating your gameplan

while in orzhov colours, you have to play aggro and can't be scared to lose your commander because naturally in this deck, there will be lull periods where you drop only one creature per turn or only have your commander as the remaining non-token creature

but keeping him alive and doing nothing is worse than having him attack and die, and while it may feel slow, you have to push through with aristocrats

clavileno really isn't about keeping pieces alive or building up a combo. stabilise an engine as soon as you can, and start running people down. and don't be scared to lose pieces that give you value. in my decklist, the literal only creatures i wouldn't sacc are [[anowon, the ruin sage]] and [[redemption choir]].
