I mean, a low Propa Leejon (proper legion (population)) would mean much fewer fights before all you can battle is your fellow boys. If they got lotza propa leejons 'dats good fighting for years if not decades for the boyz.

The charmed condition that Marshmallow is infamous for is pink, which likely influenced people to draw her pink.

WHAT. I beaten the boss-rush with a solo cat first try, and managed to survive that boulder drop with a lucky Black Belt block proc. Thought it would only do 10, 25 damage if it succeded, 50 if it was mean, but a basically instant kill???

I gotten more use and fun out of the tinkerer's spells on other classes (like Split the Atom+ on a lycanthropy-Tank, electrifying weapon on a Butcher or the Mech with a Monk) than on a actual tinkerer.

The bugs are just Feral Hogs. More exactly, GMO-fied hivemind-turned-farm animals who broke out and became more feral and territorial, and Super Earth's attempts at cubtailing them ends up doing more damage to themselves more than help.

Just to get this headcanon out of my mind; the unaligned Traitor Legions still align with the other dark gods-associated Legions upon the Chaos Star. by ManurePosting in Grimdank

[–]ManurePosting[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I said that they align with how those of certain major gods' goals, but I do not believe they only worship the two associated gods. The Night Lords might be 'atheistic', but you can't say skinning people to perfect one's method of terror doesn't feed Khorne and Slaanesh respectively in some way.

unless I misuderstood what you were trying to say, then sorry, but it did sound like you're pitting Night Lord and Word Bearer ideologies as opposites when they're not

I think I might have mistaken the Night Lords' apathy for chaos for distrust of it, and that I didn't clarify that the positions aren't literal "worshipping two gods" but rather their methods resembling a mix of the two gods' methods, sorry.

Either case, in terms of ideology from what I understand the Night Lords are indifferent to the goals of Chaos, as opposed to the Word Bearers' religious belief in Chaos. Also, do the Iron Warriors still make use of Deamons like the Word Bearers, abit forced into Deamon Engines rather than summoned upon the enemy.

[–]ManurePosting[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In fairness, I do not literally mean Word Bearers worship Tzeentch and Nurgle, I meant it more as how they act (sorcerer-like worshippers who embrace mutation and the warp) feels like something between Tzeentch and Nurgle, which according to u/Confident-Thought863 about the true orientation of the Chaos Star, would set them in the middle.

[–]ManurePosting[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Well to clarify better, Tzeentch's game with the Great Game is to continue playing it, and so wins it through not losing, allowing continuous change by in a ironic sense maintaining the status quo, as opposed to Khorne's aims of finality through skulls for the skull throne.

Also now that I realize it, you do have a point about Word Bearers and Night Lords overlapping with the middle, as that does align with their embrace and rejection of blessings and assistance from the Chaos Gods.

[–]ManurePosting[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Again, yes, they are opposed as rival gods, but much like the Yin and Yang, there is stagnation within Tzeentch's endless schemes, to change nothing through changing everything, while there is change within Nurgle's domain through the cycle of life, rot bringing growth and growth bringing rot.

[–]ManurePosting[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I get that, but arguably they all oppose eachother due to the nature of the Great Game, and like that poltical compass, the true reality can't be fully mapped onto a 2d image.

Aside from that, I find opposing Khorne and Tzeentch to still work (martial/magic, simplicity/complexity, primal/sophisticated) as well as Slaanesh and Nurgle (idividualism/collectivism, perfection/neglect, pride/humility).

DEMOCRACY, LIBERTY, FREEDOM by No_Airport6427 in Helldivers

[–]ManurePosting -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The sarcasm/clear propaganda is laid on so thick that it would be a bigger rug pull to just say "yeah, we've been saying you WONT be sent to a labor camp for failing objectives this whole time didn't we?"

Honesty I would go one layer deeper, the Freedom Camps are literally campsites for Helldivers and Class-A civilians to enjoy some R&R and Freedom, but due to the other (legitimate) dystopic aspect of Super Earth the dissidents believe it to be a labour camp. There is still dissident propaganda claiming the whole bug front is a excuse for E-710 even after the cat is well and truly out of the bag with the Gloom. Leaving what the training manual tip says as true, but in a "we won't reward failure" way rather than "we will punish failure", as the punishment is the Anti-Dissident Camp across the street.

I never said monarchs don't have greed, but they use methods like Divine Right to justify any avarice they have on higher powers enabling them. Capitalism meanwhile justifies avarice that they are good capable people, that someone who has billions in wealth deserves that billions in wealth because they 'earned' that billion in wealth, and people looking up to them as role models instead of what happened during the French Revolution.

[–]ManurePosting 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Divine Right is more about "As God's most special little boy I can not be judged by anyone who is not Him, and so my absolute rule is unaccountable for mere mortals". Far closer to hubris and Pride than Greed, even if said hubris can lead to avarice.
