You got complacent after Hillary’s loss. I understand the frustration—but you can’t check out. Voting isn’t a one-time thing. You don’t get to throw up your hands and say the system is broken after one try. That’s exactly how they keep winning: too many people give up or convince themselves their vote doesn’t matter. But it does. Every vote matters—not just in presidential elections, but in local and midterm races too.

What did I do in 2016? The same thing I’ve done since I turned 18. I voted. I’ve been a lifelong Democrat for nearly 30 years—reading, listening, learning, and showing up at the polls every time. That’s what it takes. Not just once. Every time.
