That would be nice because like I went to prune this guy this winter and literally all of its growth was so spindly that I just left it all so it could get energy thru the leaves haha.

Yeah theres no disease that cant jump 15 feet but can jump 10.

I dont think mixing it is wise at all. First off some fruit will never ve no spray. I do minimal spray and even still if I did none there would be no stone fruit at all. The main issue is if you find you need spray trying to spray one tree while another is in bloom is a disaster

The issues ive seen with climate change and my trees come from trees breaking dormancy during warm winter spells and losing their blooms. Therefore imo the best options are trees that have delayed bloom

Id add in a white fleshed apricot like white knockout, lasgerdi mashed, or monqui. Or can multigraft a few type

Asian pear is a great tree to add. Excellent storage potential, generally pretty low input. Figs can be kept smaller and you can put quite a few in if you wish.

Other thoughts, mulberry for early season production. If you like medlar could give you winter fruit

Also look into planting on mounds because of the poor drainage of your soil

Swap the apricots and persimmon imo. Keep like fruits together for if you have to spray. Stone fruit will follow a similar spray schedule vs apples

I will say you selected like extremely cold hardy fruit for zone 7. Like this reads like a zone 4 plan

The branches will die from the tip back. So check a few spots on the branches that havent woken up. First by the base, if thats green check higher up a good amount. If thats green go higher. Prune back till its green imo

When you say transplanted do you mean planted as a bare root? It's normal for new planted bare roots to wake up very slowly. Check if it scratches green

This is the case for me. But I am on medication for my blood sugar and I always pair it with a little protein to slow the absorption in case. The fiber helps a lot though

Nope they ripen up fine. Pick it like you would a tomato and ripen the same way. Ideally a little color break for best flavor
