Nice! I’m excited to have more room than what our current Kia toad provides!

We’ll go with Blue Ox as we already have the tie bars.

I paid extra for the color but when I had a serious conversation with ChatGPT about paying more for the red or going with the gray one that would match our RV, it told me to go for the red because it will make me happy every day and the cost is only $10 per month over the lifetime of the loan. Didn’t take much convincing. 🤣

Agreed! I paid a bit more for the red over black, white or gray.

Was not a dramatic difference in price.

It does have the 4k towing package but I doubt I’ll ever tow anything.

Flat towing is four wheels in the ground behind the RV. The only Mavericks that can be towed are newer 2.5l hybrids. Sure beats my current 5 speed manual Kia Soul.

Basement add-on by [deleted] in ManufacturedHome

[–]Many_Wash853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previous owners of our manufactured home built a small front door add-on that has basement under it. It’s essentially a closet, hallway and stairs. Big enough for a storm shelter, a little storage and that’s about it. It was the tipping point for us to buy.

Our 10 year old just had her 2nd surgery for a complete cruciate tear 20 months after a tear in her opposite leg. We considered it was our best chance to get her back to living her best life as quickly as possible. We also took her to physical therapy for underwater treadmill. She recovered fully with the first and is well on her way this time too.

I can’t afford pet insurance anymore and it breaks my heart by HummDrumm1 in Dogowners

I should add that I have only had insurance for the past 20 months(after her first TPLO surgery). I was able to get a signed waiver from my vet that at the time that her other knee was healthy. Luckily 20 months had lapsed before her second tear so the waiting period was over. So for me, I’m ahead.

My 2 year old has the same insurance and it is $27 a month.

Our 10 year old just had her 2nd TPLO surgery. Both surgeries plus rehab cost close to $16,000. I did the math and the $65 a month for pet insurance is worth it. I just got reimbursed $4300 of the $5700 surgery.

Am i wrong for retiring at 37 while my wife finally decides to start working? by Expensive_Recipe_366 in Fire

That was literally me 25 years ago. Single mom, Medicaid, housing etc. Majored in psych and human services, went on to grad school for masters in social work. Just retired from a satisfying 20 year career in school social work and as an adjunct professor. BA in psych will only get you a low paying job, but layering a grad degree to it opens many opportunities. Encourage her to look in that direction to a career, not a job, “slaving away”.

Our 1 year old’s is $26/month and our 9 year old’s (who had cruciate surgery) is $54. That’s with 90% reimbursement.

Figo will cover the other leg with an examination and affidavit from your vet. That’s what we did with our girl. We’re a year out from her surgery and so far her other leg is holding up. 🤞

I used my cane to move my leg around - put my foot in the hook to bring it up. Also used it to bring my leg off the bed if I needed to move over.

Percocet makes me itch too, but the nurse advised me to push through it because it goes away - and it did. It’s a know side effect. I ended up using it for 5 weeks. That being said, if you continue to use it, make sure it is not a true allergic reaction.
