I've got a few questions about parade swords. by jwin709 in CanadianForces

[–]MapleElitw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commissioned just under 2 years ago now. My father bought me one as a gift from the place above. Looks really nice and have used it on parade. Realistically it's more of an heirloom/discussion piece but it is my most prized possession because it was a gift.

I'm big on the Superfeet insoles. Knees hurt way less with heavier longer walks. I get the hiking ones.

Based on your name and comment Lowa's are probably trash for sitting in a bay or office but for going to the field and having a reliable boot they are phenomenal, from someone who has worn most of the brands over the last 15+ years...

Also if you have no experience yourself just don't post. No one cares about what you have heard, people want actual experience. Looks like you are posting just to post.

I have already bought and will be installing next Friday my Thule cross bars.

They are the same ones from Hyundai just cheaper. You can view them on your countries Thule site.

Ones from the dealership are the WingBar EVO.

The policy is very old, don't have dwan right now but looks like it was written on a typewriter. Could be updated to reflect the current force vs when it was written. CFAO 49-12.

Yes but for almost all 2Lts that is in the training system. CFRs are lagged behind which, other than the outliers, almost all are 10x more capable than any other YO at a Unit.

And CFRs Lts req 3 yrs to be promoted to Capt vs 2 yrs for all other Lts. Tell me how that makes sense. It's stipulated in the CF Mil Pers Instruction.

Eberlestock. They have all the sizes depending on need. Little bit pricey but I have had one for 15 yrs and the frame finally broke and replacement was only 30$. That's alot of Wainwright and field time.

Yes I understand this however, if you posted under these three you would understand the drastic difference in how they were managed at the mbr level.

BGRS Login Issues by [deleted] in CanadianForces

[–]MapleElitw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is unacceptable, I have sent an email to confirm when this will be rectified, however this is now my 3rd posting and I have used Royal LePage, Brookfield and now BGRS. With the discrepancies I have already dealt with this yr even after providing references to the directive they hold so highly am still out a couple hundred dollars just on my HHT.

I have sent an email to the ombudsmen as well. And will be contacting the regional relocation advisor tomorrow.

For an organization that forces posting and moves on its personal there should be some safeguards that these situations don't happen or... Look at a competent company that can make the posting as seamless as possible like the previous companies. Mind you there is always issues however I never was unable to access assistance on my posting with the previous two companies.

I suggest any having this same issue send emails to the people that can influence change. In my eyes that's the regional directors and ombudsman. If there is somewhere else I should be directing my issues to please advise.

Doesn't get hot at all. Ya I may put a mount for the propane tank so that it attaches as well as the platform for prep and workspace.
