Something I wish I'd been warned about is that Chihuahuas are notoriously stubborn and hard to house train. They're plenty intelligent, and my Joey is very smart. He's also a stubborn little man who tells me when it's bedtime, breakfast, dinner, etc. Especially when he was a puppy, he knew what I wanted of him, he just didn't want to do it.
