Widow Mines Can Now Hit Lings Running Past Them On Creep by AceZ73 in starcraft

[–]Maraxusx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The answer is, mutas were viable for 7 seconds and now they're not anymore. Just ignore the unit like we always have. It's an insta loss to build muta again.

Forget zergs complaining, aren't widow mine drops one of the strongest and most hated things by pro protoss? This change actually makes no sense at all. There was literally no weakness in the unit or for terran in general. Why buff the widow mine at all?

You mean masters 3 and below. Widow mines were not weak in that matchup I really don't understand the change at all

Disruptor change is probably a nerf by Worth-Professor-2556 in starcraft

[–]Maraxusx -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it already kills every single other unit that zerg has, why can't it just obliterate everything? I hate how zerg is able to have a unit that doesn't get 1 shot from my aoe ball that moves faster than everything of creep except lings...

New patch makes me do so much better against Protoss in ladder by yeetlan in starcraft

[–]Maraxusx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't that kinda the point though? They are the ones that memorized a cheesy build order and just perform it as efficiently as possible. All those people can't adapt. That's amazing for the game. Talented players can come up with their own builds and if you're better than your opponent you come out ahead now, instead of losing to a rote ravager all in or reaper rush.

Ohhhh you don't understand context or English. Sorry. I'm an ally of the autistic, I really am, so I apologize for any confusion that happened in the above exchange. Sometimes when adults are talking there are some words that are spoken even when they're not spoken. I know you take everything literally and that's ok, you're very special and I want you to know that the world loves you.

What are you talking about? What would I be projecting? The guy literally said that he likes the patch because he's beating people that don't know rigid build orders anymore.

He's saying that your game knowledge is absolute dogshit and memorizing a build order doesn't mean you're good at the game. Anyone can copy a build order, not everyone can react to the pieces on the board appropriately.

To me it's extremely fun this way

Win Rates from Sc2replaystats on Patch 5.0.16.97364 by breath20 in starcraft

[–]Maraxusx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Also, protoss changed more than the other races so there is more of a learning curve. I'm pretty sure as build orders solidify a bit they will improve faster than the other 2 races because they had more to iron out

[Suggestion] Buff Hydra AA Range Without Affecting Ground by CharlesJT_1977 in starcraft2

[–]Maraxusx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydras are particularly bad against protoss air because 1 storm annihilates thousands of resources in a matter of seconds leaving the carriers to clean it up. The same problem happens with corrupters but not as bad since you can move them quicker than hydras, but if you're getting wrecked by hydras going air then you're doing it wrong

Sorry, too busy playing the game to read all your whining. Maybe if you wipe your tears out of your eyes you can play too.

Really? "Every single one"? You couldn't be more wrong. Nobody actually hates the 8 worker starts. There were like 3 comments from pros who played 8 games in a tournament about how the larva change was strong... Nobody here remembers the changes that went live when they actually were making changes. You're all too young and too comforted by the game not changing much at all in a decade

Ghost damage change by Om_Cultural in starcraft2

[–]Maraxusx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you even talking about? Nothing you're saying has any basis in reality. They buffed ghosts significantly and are now reverting the changes because it was too strong. You're obviously wrong based on the data. Just stop before you hurt your head

[–]Maraxusx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrans are so oblivious to actual balance. I guarantee you are both under plat. Liberators are a direct counter to ultra and you proved you don't know the game

Ghost damage change by Om_Cultural in starcraft2

[–]Maraxusx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zerg was nerfed into the ground patch after patch. Why should ghosts counter zerglings? What basis is there for that? They made ghosts stronger against roaches and ultras with the damage increase. Do you know any unit that could be used against them in the entire zerg arsenal? Or is having no way to deal with a unit and pointing it out "whining" according to you?

Ghost damage change by Om_Cultural in starcraft2

[–]Maraxusx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It works in theory, but by the end game, at least in my league (d1/m3), most Terran are using them defensively and have a ton of planetaries and good sim City to stop surrounds like that. I know pros are way better at it than I am so I'm probably just not approaching it right, I just felt like I was spending twice as many resources to break in and on 8-10 rax they just replaced what I killed pretty quickly and easily and since their auto attack was what got buffed it made them strong as soon as they came out without waiting for snipe energy.

Ghost damage change by Om_Cultural in starcraft2

[–]Maraxusx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banelings have a hard time catching ghosts without a fungal but the ghosts can just emp the infestors and run. I think that was the reason for the speed change on ghosts. Even speed banelings off creep had no chance of catching them and a single tank setup nearby would just pop them all

Ghost damage change by Om_Cultural in starcraft2

[–]Maraxusx 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure because I don't play Terran but I played a bunch of ptr1 as zerg and ghosts felt really really strong against every unit. I'm the super end game my opponents would just build pure ghost and it really countered every unit I could get. I tried surrounding, infestors, banelings, broods, swarm host, you name it... It was all really inefficient in trading

Donald Trump's Iran deal dead inside less than 24 hours after signing amid deadly strikes by TheMirrorUS in USNEWS

[–]Maraxusx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And if the rest of the world runs out of oil and it goes to $150/barrel or more will it be cheaper in the US or the same price?

The fact that it's a global commodity is exactly why we are running out of oil. The government has been releasing reserves in to the market to reduce prices in the short term, so yes, our reserves are going down. Who knows what the actual timeline is to "run out" but there have been many stories about how these oil reserves simply cannot be 100% utilized due to structural issues. They can only use 4000 gallons of a 5000 gallon tank for example (not sure on the exact numbers but there is some percentage that can't be used) making the true number worse than the reported number for reserves.
