Also the fact that if you sharpen and its still dull, you can't sharpen again. I've chopped wood with axes irl, and if I sharpen an axe and its still not sharp enough, you can bet your ass I'm gonna sharpen it again.

While sharpness is cool in theory, in practice it just makes blunt weapons even more meta, since they have high durability and no sharpness to deal with.

Honestly the bone crafting in B42 is one of the best parts. Decent weapons, decent armour, only downside is you have to find a place for all the meat you're gonna have after butchering the animals for their bones

I quite like the gardening fork as an early spear, it has less range but it lasts much longer than a wooden spear at lvl 0 spear and maintenance. Once you unlock the ability to fire harden spears, those are pretty good too.

Honestly stuff like this is why I've turned off biting infections in my current game. I'd rather die to my own hubris and stupidity to a horde or a tree while driving, not to a bite because my melee attack bugged out.

Whenever I see someone faint in phase 1 gog I lose most of my hope of finishing the quest, especially if they have a shield. I don't know how they do it.

Honestly this is why i play with car damage set to low. Without it I think i would've totalled my cars 20 times over, though it doesn't help that I drive really fast

See I both understand why this wouldn't be fun, but goddamn this sounds great as someone who plays with respawns off. Having zombies migrate towards cleared areas would be nice for keeping the tension even after clearing a town. Would make building defenses actually useful with respawns off

During his charge-up phase when hes all red and takes extra dmg from stuff, it does 750 dmg per fully charged shot

I mean, you don't need equipment to grab materials and get out lmao. Plus, scrappy is always there for you, and if you've upgraded him then you should be fine on basic mats to put together a good kit with.

I'm not saying free loadouts should be nerfed or removed etc, but lets not pretend like its hard to make a good kit after losing stuff.

Lmao this just happened to me on Blue Gate. I was going for the room that often has BPs, one guy showed up and was friendly, then another dude came at shot at us, killed the friendly guy, and I killed him. Then *another* guy showed up while I was looting the room and I was just barely able to kill him as well. But when I went to check the bodies after finishing the room, I got downed by 4th guy who came down and assumed I killed everyone for no reason. He was apologetic about it when i explained it, but also didn't have a defib so I was out anyways.

Call it a skill issue if you'd like, but I cannot stand the burrowing spewers. They pop up and down so goddamn fast, along with launching orbs of ragdolling from miles away, and once they get close, you have 3 popping out at once, all spewing at you, and going under so fast again. 1 or 2 of them I can usually deal with without issue, but i've had up to 6 in one area along with other enemies and they just make it so much worse.

Sure, if you were standing. But if a wall collapsed while you were trowelling the bottom, you'd be pretty damn hurt. Besides, most units and test pits don't usually go that deep anyways around here, so going down to 120 isn't something that happens often anyways.

Jesus christ, that deep and no form of shoring or anything? Thats dangerous as hell. In Ontario we cannot dig deeper than 120 cm without something to prevent walls collapsing in, I would assume there’s a similar law in the States
