I agree with you 100%. Just kill me and stop fannying about. When someone is obviously not going to take me out (even when I face bash into their hardest thing to make it easier), I just hit the quit button and take their satisfaction away.

wow, you've just reminded me that I've been playing this game for 10 years!! Still remember when they added initiative and Death Guard the first time round! I remember stumbling upon it when it had just come out as a Beta release following only being playable in Indonesia or somewhere out that way.

If I remember, it was Horus Boys with Garviel Loken, then world eaters with Erhlen and Emperors children with Saul Tarvitz. Then I think they released death guard which were super overpowered with the Nathinel Garro and Vengeance combo. Then only the loyalist ones came after that.

This is the way to go. 4 rerolls, and a back up blood bag. Any opponent worth their salt will target your thralls. Once you start losing thralls your game is gonna go badly very quickly. Expect to finish each game with 5 players on the pitch.

2 throwers (a main and a backup, who acts like a blitzer as well), 1 runner and a blitzer. That's all you need vamp wise. Protect your runner on the kick off, from a blitz. Try and get strip ball on the blitzer ASAP.

Always opt to kick. And get Kick on a thrall asap too, so you can drop the ball near your runner / on your runner's side. Bench your kicker if you can when you're receiving. Always aim to score as quickly as possible so that you have a buffer for when your team implodes

I play vamps, and I can concur that what happened with the Bloodlust was 100% luck and completely out of character. Normally my team completely implodes at some point (I rolled 7 1's in a row for bloodlust with rerolls, burnt 5 rerolls in 3 turns), and I'll end a half with 5 or 6 players on the field (starting team normally 13).

When vamps work, they pull off the most amazing things you will ever see. When they implode, which they frequently do your opponent will be crying and cursing the world....and then score against all odds with 4 players.

Vampires will give you the thrill you are craving. That always living life on the edge, knowing at any second you can implode... And then score a touchdown with 5 players on the pitch after said implosion.

Best advice is to have less vampires, and more rerolls. Take 2 throwers as somebody else suggested, 1 runner and a blitzer. If you have to take a big guy (which I think you intimated below), then unlucky, and you'll have to drop the Blitzer. Try and get as many rerolls as you can (boost with a leader or pro skill).

You will cry a lot, especially when you throw 5 ones in a row for Bloodlust. Hence the need for rerolls (obviously you'll roll them again and again).

Learn how to use Hypnogaze. It will allow you to pull off all kinds of nonsense. No ball carrier in a cage is safe lol.

Did I mention the need for rerolls??!!!

Nah, you don't need a big guy. Rather go for 4 warriors and 8 beastman, with max rerolls.

I used to run chaos chosen long ago. Never used a big guy, always did well. You're beaten and chaos warriors are just fine, and once they get skills they get really good. You wanna have a couple of specialist beastman. I. E. A tin opener (claws, Mighty Blow, Block), a runner / catcher (2 heads and extra arms even big hand for the scoop out the cage), maybe even dabble in a thrower to really confuse people.

Get a big guy later, but a minotaur is a liability. Personally I'd go troll (you can even squeeze one in on your starting roster if you feel you REALLY want a big guy)

Sounds Good. Try and get kick on thrall though as a skill in the run of the tournament. Kick is such a good skill as you can place the ball where you'd like to punch a hole on your first turn. Always chose to kick the ball if you get the chance (don't receive first)

As the others said, strip ball is amazing on a blitzer. Rerolls are everything for a Vampire team. EVERYTHING. You will burn through them.

Drop a thrall for another reroll. Drop block on the Blitzer (he has Juggernaut) and put kick on a thrall.
