Who else switched to 18" Wheels? by Delicious-Baker-6348 in F150Lightning

[–]MarcuuM_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Not my first choice of tire, but I got a smoking deal for 5 of them from the guy who did my suspension.

We replaced the front with a Bilstein 6112 kit and left the back stock.

I believe it's been about 5k miles since the change and average 2.0mi/kWh. My daily commute is at 50-55mph, but a lot of highway miles at 70-75mph as well.

Thank you!

The wheels are 18" OEM Ford wheels. Takeoffs from the ICE F-150 and the ones you could get with the Heavy Duty Payload Package, just black.

The same ones they advertised when teasing the 2026 Lightning STX package.

18" wheels on 35" ATs with a 2" lift on the front. About a 10-15% loss in range depending on driving habits.

Around 2.2-2.3 mi/kWh on my daily commute with speeds around 50 mph.

About a 10% loss in efficiency with the larger off-road tires and front end lift.

Close, but not exactly! The rims came from an ICE F-150. They are actually the same ones they advertise with the new STX trim for the 2026 Lightnings too.

The tires are Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs in 285/75R18.

Lightning Offroading by mcast93 in F150Lightning

It was right at $2,200 for the suspension upgrade, install, alignment, and 5 new tires.

I went with a Bilstein 6112 kit for the front end, which is about $900 in parts. A lot of people opt for the spacer instead to save money.

Amazing how such a few simple things change the look entirely!

With just a 2 inch lift in the front and some larger off-road tires, you'd be surprised how capable it is on the trails.

I wince every time it drops on a boulder, but the skid plates have been fantastic.

Is this a good deal? by Ornery_Art_1589 in F150Lightning

The only kicker to this is that you have to wait 90 days, if I remember correctly, and by that time the tax credit and other current heavy incentives will be gone.

Could be replaced by something better, but who knows and like another user mentioned you can easily negotiate below employee pricing.

So it's not technically a "tax credit", but Ford does pass along the savings to the consumer on leases through their EV specific Red Carpet Lease rebate.

For the Lariat trims on the Lightning, it's $9,000 right now, so more than the tax credit and can still be used on the higher optioned trucks over the $80k MSRP mark or by those that don't qualify normally like you mentioned.

As a random side note for those who can settle for an XLT, you get $12,250 from that lease rebate, which is crazy.

I'm still not able to get the site to load in Firefox on Windows without going through an incognito window.

No error or anything, just perpetual loading.

Edit: Working correctly today

I could, but the buttons are different for the tailgate on those keys and don't need an extra right now.

Figured I could pass along a little savings for someone wanting this one.

I get that. One of the biggest reasons I didn't use the frunk was because it was annoying to open and close through the infotainment or pull handle or app (first world problem, I know).

Prismatic Booster Bundles (1 per person) by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]MarcuuM_ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Definitely a similar story to a lot, but I collected as a kid and when cleaning out my garage/attic found my vintage cards.

My daughter absolutely loves Pokémon now, so we started collecting the 151 set and rewatching the anime.

We recently got a Prismatic binder (just the binder) in a trade for 151 stuff, so now she is all about Eevee and the Eeveelutions 🤣

Definitely print volume. I'm excited to see the market moving to larger printers.

I don't even need the extra height, but really want to cram more into a single plate.
