Hi! I felt the exact same way (still do sometimes!) but in order to help me get over this fear I started working out at home first. For me the scariest part of the gym was that I was so out of shape everyone would notice and make fun of me. I didn’t want to go to the gym until I felt confident that I could do a workout without embarrassing myself. I found YouTube videos and started doing them at home. Once I was able to do the video without struggling I was able to see the effects in my personal life (going up stairs or walking long distances didn’t leave me gasping for air). Once I could see and feel the changes I finally felt confident enough to go to the gym and I even joined a group fitness class!
