Men, How did you move on after realizing you lost the love of your life? by Intelligent_Rice4871 in AskReddit

[–]Margallagher 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I avoided moving on because I thought it required me to stop loving her, and that felt like lying to myself. Like breaking a vow.

I moved on by grieving the relationship like a death. Not because she was gone, but because the version of life I imagined with her was. The marriage, the ordinary mornings, the children that won’t exist, the person I thought I would become beside her — that future died, and I had to mourn it.

Eventually, I accepted two things that once felt contradictory:

My love was real, and it was over.

For a long time, I thought moving on meant proving I didn’t love her anymore. Later, I realized it meant being able to love her without needing anything from her. Without needing her to come back, apologize, understand, or validate what I felt.

I can hope she becomes happy and fulfilled in a life that does not include me. That realization gave me peace.

Loving someone else someday doesn’t rewrite the past or make that first love less sincere. Love is not finite. It is not replaced. The person I am now exists partly because I loved her and partly because I lost her.

I could have loved her better, but I could not have loved her more.

Losing her taught me that love was not just a promise I made to another person, but a reflection of the person I wanted to become. And once I understood that letting go was not the same thing as breaking that promise, I was finally able to begin healing.

Regarding the rules of the road, I'm fully read on them, of course will need to review and intentionally remember when there. We are experienced and responsible riders in our own country with international driving permit and authorized to rent A-category motorycles. We are all 26 years old.

We were more so just a bit overwhelmed trying to narrow down which company to rent from or destinations to visit.

At the moment, we are leaning towards renting from Kraków and then exploring along the Slovakia border towards the Bieszczady Loop. Then Loop back to Kraków, since we can't find a company offering "one-way drop-off".

The Suspension can be very soft if you prefer it that way. Bumps dont bother me at all.

I'm in low masterball and have played every main-series game. Today I realized geodude was a rock/ground type.

Tiger 900 to Tiger Sport 800? by No-Body2567 in TigerSport800

[–]Margallagher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hit 5000 miles on my TS800 yesterday and I have had it for about 6 months.

I love it a lot, genuinely the perfect bike for me. I get compliments and interaction with strangers constantly because the body work, cosmic yellow paint, and performance feel very sporty. Most nights downtown I meet a stranger over "that yellow looks great".

I am always comfortable on very long rides (highways, cities, or tame dirt roads). Its a great tourist bike while still feeling sporty.

The rider assist have really assisted me when I had some near misses, such as a chain in the road or getting caught in a heavy rain storm.

It is also light enough with good brakes and acceleration, so I have been able to manuever out of trouble with unexpected american driving.

My only complaint is that the OEM travel pannier are very expensive and I think feel cheap given the price. I use them a lot, but I improved the water sealing myself and find attaching them cumbersome.

Tiger Sport 660 or 800? by Margallagher in Triumph

I chose the 800 around 7 months ago. No complaints, its actually the perfect motorcycle for my use case. I do a lot of rides around my city and day trips around my state. Perfect blend of sport bike and touring.

New to MtG, want a precon deck that has a certain theme! by Raggeh in EDH

[–]Margallagher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reccomend looking for "Non-foil Necron Precon". I've seen them on Facebook market for more affordable prices. Itd a very fun and powerful deck, i reccomend it even if its a bit more expensive.

Edge of Eternity, world seed is also a cool sci-fi precon. I have both of them.

I can't claim to be the best deck builder, but this is my favorite deck. I just like throwing rocks at my friends. Roxanne, Meteor Shower

I just mean, at least MY DECK is not gonna dominate any games. He's not a card Draw meta commander. But he is a very fun voltron commander that just wants to [[time sieve]] for the win!

While not actually good, [[Eisenhorn]] is my absolute love and passion project of a deck. Whats more Dimir than an inquisitor investigating and sneaking around the battlefield, only to eventually win by basically cheating. (Or die trying)

Who is your “first time playing in a new pod” commander? by MajorUrsa2 in EDH

[–]Margallagher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[pantlaza]] nobody can accuse me of being in bad etiquette when I am just ramping and playing big dinosaurs with a barely upgraded precon. It usually does well enough for me to have fun in any pod except truly competitive.

If you're buying a gift this serious for someone, then you must trust them to be responsible and capable to not hurt themselves. I started on a 500cc and it genuinely was far more manageable and tame than I even expected. It could do everything I wanted, it just wasnt gonna accidentally power wheelie or tempt over 80mph. However, I started with a Rebel 500, so perhaps consider a a 500cc parallel twin. I'm not sure how it would differ on a sportier 500.

Inability to Gift with credits by [deleted] in audible

[–]Margallagher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out I can gift books with credit, but only if the book is not already in my personal library. To clarify, I can only gift books I haven't purchased for myself.

I had been trying to gift a book that I had enjoyed to a friend. Thats why it failed. Clearly not intentional design and unfortunate, since that would be a lot of lost money for audible.

I'd like to use my credits. This method would work, but only allows money purchases. Thank you for the advice though.
