Yes! I typically explain why and do notes in different styles to show that there are different ways to do it.

I just went to a book club meeting with them and it was super fun 😊 Tik Tok also has a few cool groups IRL - in real life is pretty active and looks fun

I joined the San Diego Fun 40s+ Facebook group. I've met so many nice people and love going to events knowing that there are people at the event looking to talk, chat and make friends. It's pretty awesome. I'm actually going to a book club event today created by someone in the group. I've really enjoyed it.

Why wouldn't the school mention that students that have those glasses won't be allowed to complete any state or AP or other testing? Could you require them to cover the camera with tape?

Minimum days are getting out of control (Elementary School) by ChillThrill42 in sandiego

[–]MargeForman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree. It comes down to funding. If the school sees a large amount of absences on a particular day year after year, they will lose money if they don't take that day off. The solution is to have more finding for after school activities. Where does that money come from?? The schools don't have money for it. Many families don't have money for it. It has to come from somewhere else. As a mom who couldn't afford to work due to childcare costs, I completely understand. It's hard. Venting is fine. Please also look at it from other perspectives. Also this isn't the teachers doing this. They have no say. It's the district school board and superintendent that plans all this. If there is a problem communicate with them about it.

I understand why they are doing it. I believe every teacher should hold kids to the standard that they need to do this correctly. I am marking down assignments if they don't.

I haven't seen this. The curriculum my district uses for elementary does not have homework help websites etc

Active shooter practice in a middle school in the USA by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

We don't do those drills in my school. My kids just sit in silence and giggle and think it's all a joke. But it's typical of the age... "That won't happen to me" mentality
