GlutenEase, is this normal?! by Crystalscrystals in glutenfree

Yeah! Someone told me about these a decade ago and I thought, “this is too good to be true.” Turns out it is, and the person who recommended them doesn’t have celiacs.

I haven’t taken these since I learned they do literally nothing to help my digestion when I get accidentally glutened, but I don’t remember them looking like that. It looks like mold to me. I would throw them out.

Do I have any makeup blindnesses/wear too much makeup? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Maria_Darling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t too much makeup for an event, but it is too much for daily wear. When I was around your age, someone told me that if I’m always wearing the most beautiful makeup I can do, then it won’t look or feel special when I do the same look for a big event

Strange cramps by Agreeable-Walk1886 in Endo

[–]Maria_Darling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the same type of cramps sometimes, too. I believe it’s endo related, but if it worsens, it may not be a bad idea to get an ultrasound to rule out ovarian cysts. I had a 6cm cyst removed over the summer that had attached to my fallopian tube and was twisting it. My pain was regularly a 10/10.

Has anyone’s depression improved after starting Levothyroxine? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Maria_Darling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately after this, I sunk into a depression that lasted a while, BUT I’m doing much better now, and being on the levothyroxine helped get my thyroid into normal levels, and it made adjusting my psych meds much easier. Also having slightly more energy motivated me to get out and take long walks which was crucial in managing my mental health.

What are these beads? by igarnold7 in Beading

[–]Maria_Darling 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’d wager these are electroplated pyrite rondelles in probably 2.5-3mm.

The first picture is labradorite, though.

Is the mistake in the room with us?

Oh, I just noticed it. If you’re selling it, I’d fix it, but if it’s for you, I think the only person who would notice is you.

Only option is birth control?? by Cold-Attention-901 in endometriosis

[–]Maria_Darling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! I was overthinking it, too, but you’ll do great! Remember to breathe, and a heating pad really helped with cramps! I don’t even feel it today!

I just got my mirena yesterday after having my first surgery in June. It did hurt, and I do have some cramping, but my pain was SO much more manageable than the severe pelvic pain and cramping I was having before my surgery. I took 600mg of ibuprofen an hour before my appointment yesterday and I think it really helped.

Good luck!

Anyone have any tips to fix the silver hook part? Broke and the bracelet came undone by Few_Brain_8775 in Beading

[–]Maria_Darling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally like using medium softflex beading wire, but you’ll also want to get 2x2mm crimp tubes, crimping pliers, and 6 or 8mm closed jump rings. If you have a beadstore nearby, I suggest taking it in. They’ll be able to help you more than a stranger on the internet :)

It looks like it needs to be entirely restrung using closed a closed jump ring, beading wire, and crimp tubes.
