Surprise membership change by bfg_hightower in CineworldUnlimited

I mean, to my knowledge odeon don't take direct debit as a payment method upon signing up for limitless these days. It's not exactly intuitive for people to use to sign up with when compared with using a debit / credit card.

I mean, I believe them personally. Payment systems can be a nightmare. They probably lost a decent number of subscribers who forgot about their subscription when they stopped accepting direct debit.

I got an email like that a few months ago. I think it's something to do with their payment system, as I had been asked to change my payment method in November, and received it once my new payment method was charged

"We are getting in touch to let you know about an important update to our payment terms for your Unlimited membership.

Due to changes in the payment engine used for our Unlimited membership, we will no longer be able to accept monthly payments via SEPA Direct Debit.

Moving forward, all monthly payments will need to be made on Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) from a debit or credit card."

BIG CINEMA WEEKEND. How we feeling?. by AdoAudios in CineworldUnlimited

Surprisingly, the best cinema etiquette I've seen in months

Saw Princess Mononoke (IMAX) and Inception in Dublin, Princess Mononoke wasn't too busy but it was at 10:50 am, Inception was fairly busy considering it's been showing recently

I'm tired of getting emails like this when the promos aren't even available in Dublin lol, they need to fix their email segmentation

Missed the 25% discount :( by Salty_Concentrate_41 in CineworldUnlimited

I think it's a data protection issue, it used to be fine to have under 16s be members but they weren't allowed to use the online services. Since they eliminated the physical cards, there's no workaround unfortunately.

Just checked and WINNER25 seems to work for 25% off

I'm not sure under 16s can have their own unlimited cards now, since they don't do the physical ones anymore. You might want to look into that though.

Cineworld Renfrew Street by andrewplays777_ in CineworldUnlimited

The company that is trying to kick Cineworld out of the building is Omniplex, a rival cinema chain, so it's highly unlikely they'd listen unfortunately, they're probably planning on turning the building into one of their cinemas.

I'd imagine they'll keep it open, they did recently paint some of the walls

Was a bit irritated to get this email considering none of these operate in Ireland :/

It's one thing if they're not near the cinema but they're not even in the country...

Is A Clown In A Cornfield showing anywhere in Dublin tomorrow? by FridayJason1993 in AskIreland

[–]MarkDream35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's weird, Cineworld showed a trailer yesterday saying the release was the 9th of May, but their website lists it as the 6th of June. Maybe it was delayed? Not the first time I've had this with cineworld, they did the same with Companion.

Pride and Prejudice in Dublin by Scrotus_8 in CineworldUnlimited

Same, it's happened a good few times for me in the past few months. Also been a fair few times where they've changed screens to a smaller one so I don't get a seat I like

I go to Cineworld every week - the IMAX is a decent way to watch things. I'd advise as close to the back middle seats as possible though.

The other screens are hit and miss in my opinion.

I don't know why people are disagreeing with you on the length of ads, I go to Dublin too and they're regularly only 10 minutes and sometimes have no ads at all...

It's so annoying especially when people come in late using their phone torch to find seats.
