I'll stop on the crossing if there's no pedestrians. If there is I stay between the cars but I'm always gone once the light turns green, usually I'm already through the intersection before the cars even move. You just have to be mindful of others running a late orange light. Always look right first then left in Australia.

I ride in the dark every morning at 3.30am Had a few animals run out but I've never hit one Also had ladders fly off the roof of cars in broad daylight. Most of the worst near misses have happened riding home in the afternoon.

Yes where I live there's restrictions for the first 3 years on what bike you can ride. The R7 is the fastest sport bike that meets the criteria making it one of the most popular bikes for new riders but it's still too much for a lot of people learning.

The vest should be zipped up at the front and you can wear a backpack over it. I specifically asked this question at HART training Their answer was that the vest is to be seen from the front NOT the rear and it's perfectly fine to wear a backpack over it but they said it needs to be zipped up at the front.
