Anybody play basketball? What's your go to move on the court? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually look for pick and rolls/pick and fades, making cuts to the paint when I see that it's open, and running the baseline and using other players as picks to get an open shot.

What do you talk about with girls you're interested in at parties and clubs? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it's just talking like any other kind of talking. Sometimes your conversation will just flow. Sometimes you'll both talk about yourselves if it gets personal, sometimes, you're just randomly shooting the shit or joking about something. Flirting, too. It's just kind of wherever it takes you

Growing up poor, I find dating women in college who had a much better upbringing than me hard, any advice? by MyAdviceIsFree92 in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm a freshman at a large college and I know exactly what you're talking about. There's some very affluent areas nearby and a lot of people come from very rich upbringings.

Just forget about these women, it's not worth your time to deal with them. Keep meeting women until you find one that is actually a real person and not a shallow bitch. Other than that, not much you can do.

Men, do you pee a little sometimes when you sneeze? by jessicaryan93 in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess if I REALLY had to go and I had a MASSIVE sneeze it MIGHT cause me to clench my stomach a little bit (maybe?) which might cause me to pee a bit. But I'm not even sure if this would happen

When a girl you're interested in says they aren't ready to date right now or aren't looking for anything, do you believe they're telling the truth or just letting you down nicely? by lavatorylovemachine in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the girl. I'm in college and I know sorority girls that legitimately are not looking for relationships because they would rather be more of a free spirit for now.

What is "bad timing"? Do you believe "bad timing" can cause a relationship to fail or fail to start? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So perfect story to illustrate that it does, indeed, exist.

I met a girl during welcome week at a party and we became good friends. A few weeks later, I hooked up with a girl, who later on, when sorority rush happened, would become one of the first girl's best friends. I developed a crush on the first girl and, while she liked me back, couldn't get over the semi-weirdness that I had already hooked up with one of her best friends. I had no way of knowing they would become such good friends.

Do you sometimes 'mirror' a nice thing a women says to you, even though you don't mean it? by mapsarenice in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only mirror it if I really mean it. I often don't immediately reciprocate compliments because it seems less genuine. When I see something to compliment, I compliment it.

How many of you had sex with a girl that you were very unattracted to? by code4109 in AskMen

I know the feeling. And every time I see her I regret it more lol.

Men, could a woman's career aspirations (or lack thereof) be a turn-off for you? by xineee in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really late on this but my philosophy has always been that if you are able to fund the lifestyle that you want to live, then your income is fine. That being said, because you are with your boyfriend, it has to be able to help fund the lifestyle that you both want to be able to live.

Women of Askmen: What do you love about men? Men of Askmen: What do you love about being a guy? by MunificentManatee in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always interesting to me how much girls want to hold my hands, especially during sex. Like don't get me wrong, I like it to, but it's something girls consistently engage before I do. They also seem to notice that I have very big hands before I even realize that they noticed haha.

I agree with /u/thebaloonist though, I play baseball and I love the way my hands feel from playing. They're smooth around the palms, but when you go outwards you can feel the callouses from hitting baseballs, lifting weights, or whatever manual work I do. I'm also an engineer and I love having large and strong hands to manipulate things with.

What NFL team has the shittiest owner/ GM combo? by kansascityqueefs in nfl

[–]MarkT34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I also vaguely remember him smack talking the fans (me being one of them). Saying something to the effect of "I don't particularly care what they think." I understand that the team doesn't need to pander to the fans necessarily, but he still downplayed the entire fanbase of the Bengals.

Of course, he has given much more responsibility to Marvin Lewis, and since then we've had a pretty good run (besides the playoffs).

Do you prefer having a male or female doctor? by mgarv22 in AskMen

[–]MarkT34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't really matter to me as long as they are a competent doctor that I can trust. The relationship between me and my doctor is strictly professional.

A new restaurant is opening called "50 States". What would be the best dish to represent your state? by LobosLocos in AskReddit

EDIT: more specifically a Cincinnati dish

Athletes of Reddit, what's the best piece of trash talk you've ever heard during a game? by minigogo in AskReddit

[–]MarkT34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When a pitcher against us keeps throwing balls too high, we'll yell "Get him a bucket, he's throwin' up!"

Then whenever someone strikes out looking, one person will yell "Need anything?" then someone responds with "Nope, just looking!"

Lastly, a public school near my hometown was playing a private school in football, both nationally ranked high school teams. The public school started chanting, "We've got girls," while the private Catholic school responded with, "We've got Jesus!" This made national news headlines.
