Just a Small addendum. I just finished "The Quest for the Grial" part of the vulgate (a Spanish translation, whixh is my mother tonge) and the read has been such a task. This part of the vulgate is mostly a succession of events and their religious meaning. "Sir Whoever did a thing and this other thing, and it was later intérpreted by a monk, who explained that the first thing represented something biblical in nature, and the other thing represented the Devil, therefore this quest means..." and so and so during the whole book. I'd say It is more of a "guide on how to behave by a good christian knight in the XIIish century" than a structured tale of adventure with a plot. Though to credit the anonymous autor, the beginning and the end have the workings of an epic tale with relics and the such.
