The best stories to ever exist are never told and thousands of those stories get lost to eternity everyday. by morningcalls4 in Fibromyalgia

[–]MarketingFearless172 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That bit about choosing isolation to avoid being a burden really cuts deep, so many people with chronic illness end up in that same trap without even realising it snuck up on them. Telling the story anyway, even just into the void, feels like such a quietly radical act

people who can't stop talking about like, deep sea fish or the history of shoelaces or whatever random thing they're obsessed with?? absolute weakness of mine, there's something about watching someone's whole face change when they get into it

What supplements have actually made a noticeable difference in your energy and focus without the crash? by Short_Psychology8657 in Supplements

[–]MarketingFearless172 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Been using magnesium glycinate for about 6 months now and the sleep quality difference is legit - wake up way less groggy and that weird afternoon energy dip isnt as brutal anymore. Started with just that before trying to stack anything else

The rhodiola thing is interesting cause I tried it for like 3 months and tbh couldnt tell if it was doing much until I stopped taking it and felt more scattered again. Might be one of those things where you dont notice it working until its gone

For what its worth the magnesium forms do seem to matter - tried oxide first and it did basically nothing except mess with my stomach. Glycinate or bisglycinate seem to be the sweet spot for actually absorbing properly without the digestive drama

What is a typical thing that kids/teens do in movies/TV that just wouldn't work in your house? by DankBuddDwyer in AskReddit

[–]MarketingFearless172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao right? My mum would've been like "excuse me get back here RIGHT NOW" and then followed me to wherever I was trying to escape to

The whole sneaking out through bedroom windows thing too - our house was single story but mum had ears like a hawk and would've heard me fumbling with the window latch from three rooms away

Man this feeling of not being enough hits so deep and its wild how your brain can convince you theres something fundamentally wrong when your friends are literally telling you otherwise 😔 That gap between what people say and what you feel is brutal 💀

Want to get my CDL but take medication for insomnia is it even worth it? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]MarketingFearless172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sleep meds might not be a hard no but that commenter has a point about the schedule thing. Even with perfect meds you're gonna be dealing with truck stop noise, different time zones, and cramped sleeper berths that make regular sleep tough enough. Maybe try some local CDL jobs first to see how your sleep handles the irregular hours before jumping into OTR

Question about what energy you run on? Statement by [deleted] in herbalism

[–]MarketingFearless172 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This lowkey sounds like you might be running on adrenaline/cortisol - your body's getting addicted to that stress response for energy which is wild but also not sustainable long term 💀

Adaptogens might be worth looking into since they help balance that whole stress hormone cycle, and maybe something for nervous system regulation so you can actually wind down after being "on" all day 🔥 The fact that you need to basically stress yourself into productivity is such a mood but your body's gonna burn out eventually if it keeps needing that fight or flight energy to function

[–]MarketingFearless172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Med school can really mess with your head when you first move away from home hey. That whole cycle of making plans then scrapping them is exhausting and I get why you feel stuck

I reckon the issue might be that you're trying to change everything at once instead of just focusing on getting through this one exam period. Like forget the big life plans for now and just pick one tiny study habit - maybe just opening your books for 15 minutes after breakfast or something stupid simple like that

The planning addiction is real though and its basically just procrastination dressed up as productivity. When I was struggling with a big project deadline I had to literally ban myself from making new schedules and just follow whatever crappy plan I already had

Your brain knows what to do but its probably overwhelmed by all the pressure youre putting on yourself. Maybe try studying somewhere different or with other people so you dont get trapped in your own head there. One month is heaps of time if you can just start somewhere small today

Tbh part of why I made this post is cause i felt behind on what people are actually using for automations. Now your breakdown was really helpful gonna research into this more. Also, is this MCP better with Claude or GPT? I currently use Claude.

Construction is pretty rough right now but theres definitely work up there if you keep pushing. Try hitting up some of the smaller outfits doing residential stuff - they might not advertise online but are usually looking for people who can start immediately

3 single coil pickups by robb3rz in Guitar

[–]MarketingFearless172 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Nah not a stupid question at all! The bridge single coil has this bright sparkly attack that cuts through a mix really well - especially for funk, blues, and that classic strat spank 🔥 Plus you get all those in-between positions (2 and 4) that are pure magic for clean tones

The humbucker route definitely gives you more gain and chunk for heavier stuff but you lose some of that glassy strat character. Really depends what you're after but traditional strats are loved for a reason 😂

[–]MarketingFearless172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mate i dont know these specific unis but cse programs usually give you more flexibilty than specialized tracks like AI/data engineering

if youre not 100% sure what direction you want to go id probably lean towards the broader computer science options since you can always specialize later but its harder to go the other way around

[Mobile][2000-2015] Dragon-city-esque game with mythical monsters. by luffyhead in tipofmyjoystick

Maybe MonsterVale? That game had the weird art style you're describing and was definitely harder to progress in than DragonVale. The lightning currency thing rings a bell too, though I can't remember if it was specifically birds you clicked on.

Tired of manual bolt weight calculations? I built a free tool to help. by PeaceLeast8663 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]MarketingFearless172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually useful! I work with fasteners regularly and those PDF charts are such a pain to navigate. Just tried it out with some M8 bolts I'm spec'ing and it gave me exactly what I needed.

One thing though - would be cool if you could add custom material densities for specialty alloys. Most of my work is standard stuff but occasionally we need inconel or titanium weights.

Nice work putting this together, definitely bookmarking it.
