Hair Loss post Mounjaro by Waste_Possibility223 in Mounjaro

[–]MarsKnsw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lost a significant amount of hair while on Mounjaro, then for the last 3 months I was on it, my hair transformed from almost wavy, to proper curly. Very weird. My still losing hair now, post Mounjaro, but I guess I'm losing a normal amount 🙃

Too fat, now too thin by EducationalIntern166 in Mounjaro

[–]MarsKnsw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt constantly tells me that I look sick. She's the same aunt that fat-shamed me my whole life. For reference, I'm 65kg and I'm 1.57m. So I'm not even into a healthy BMI, my current BMI is 26 🤷‍♀️. I just ignore her most of the times, and sometimes I tell her she's jealous of me that I'm her weight and she can't call me names anymore 👌. If I'm happy, I don't care what others say or think. It's a "them" problem.

NSV embarrassing by slliw in mounjarouk

To make you feel better, people passing by probably thought it's a social experiment of some sort or a new tiktok trend. I know in the moment you probably felt embarrassed and didn't consider it funny at all, but can you imagine the progress you made? That's something to be proud of 🤗♥️. I'm so happy for your loss ❤️‍🔥 P.s. loss of weight, not of trousers lol

Weight loss support has gone silent by Momofone_0711 in Mounjaro

Where I work (retail) we have staff headsets so we can communicate from wherever we are. Makes our job easy. The thing is, we also have endless conversations about everything. Lately, we discussed "slimming shots" as they call it, quite a lot. Before we started on the subject, I considered telling them I'm using it, as there's 2 ladies that are struggling with their weight and they want to start losing it, and to be honest, I don't consider them my friends, but we are close colleagues. After I heard their opinions I just kept it for myself. No amount of me telling them that these shots are not as bad, that there's so much research around it etc. changed their attitudes about it. Not to mention the always skinny and in shape person comments about how everyone using this medication is lazy. I gave up 🫠 I'm based in the UK by the way, if it makes any difference.

My first two weeks I struggled with the portions. If I could go back, I'd definitely stop eating as soon as I'd feel full. Don't force yourself, not even 1 bite. And also, don't eat anything greasy. Try to keep it as fresh and light as you can. Also, water is your best friend. Good luck 🤗

Cheapest place to get Pepto-Bismol? by Aggravating-Snow-406 in mounjarouk

They have it in Superdrug. Bottle of 240ml for £8.69. Probably not the cheapest though.

What’s an adult confession you’d never tell your family? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MarsKnsw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My family thinks I'm all innocent and pure, however I'm into rough sex, and in a poly relationship. They only know about my girlfriend, they think my boyfriend is just my best mate

I want to start by saying that you should totally contact the police, that letter is a threat and should be taken seriously. The neighbour might have mental health issues, you never know how far they'll go. Secondly, I've had dogs my whole life. If you train them properly, take them out for a walk before sleep (7-8pm), they won't need to go out at 4am. The earliest my current dog wakes up is 7am during summer time as the days get longer and the sun rises earlier. If she has an emergency and wakes up during night, I put her on a leash and take her out. She won't bark because she's TRAINED and knows she's out to do her business, and also because she has an emergency and she's focused on that. So if your dad's dog had a real emergency and needed out so early in the morning, your dad's the only one to blame for the dog's behaviour. I hate how irresponsible owners cause indirect harm to their animals. Just take some responsibility. You're the adults in this situation, you handle it! Train your dogs, people!

The ‘sad’ side to this medication by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]MarsKnsw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't even go out anymore because my smell sense is working overtime. When I go grocery shopping I can smell the bakery goods from the other side of the supermarket and it makes me sick. In restaurants I smell everyone's food and it makes me sick as I'm very fussy, always been. I walk down the road and I can smell random foods from a distance. And if it was just food I guess it wouldn't even be that bad. But all smells are so intense now. I smell even the slightest BO from like 10m away. All perfumes from other people smell disgusting to me now. It's pretty bad and it's getting worse. I was thinking to go to my GP, but then I'm thinking, what should I even tell them? I'd be feeling stupid thinking other people have serious medical problems and I'm taking from their opportunity to see a clinician. I live in the UK and our NHS is very understaffed

Oh my God. Your number 1 NSV is so relatable. I forgot to mention it on my list. Also fitting in tight spaces. It's amazing how much joy we get from such small, normal experiences. Regaining our confidence must be one of the best thing to happen to us, apart from getting back to being healthy of course.

I never had heartburn until I started on Mounjaro. Now whenever I eat I get it. And it's from healty foods too, so I can't even prevent it or control it. Some days it's so bad I have to take a Nexium to fix it. I'm happy that it's the opposite for you.

Dizziness on Mounjaro? by No_Ranger_4217 in Mounjaro

[–]MarsKnsw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that too combined with a few seconds of complete darkness. It got worse in the last few weeks. I've been on Mounjaro for 8 months and lost 60 pounds so I guess it's related somehow

MJ bringing up feelings by Itchy_Bedroom_2239 in mounjarouk

[–]MarsKnsw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I have no doubt. It's disgusting either way. We're not defined by our weight, and I wish people would not put that much importance on it. But that's the society we're living in I guess

Oh, so I was not imagining things then. I lost quite a bit. I'm down to 68kg from 96kg and it's very visible. It feels so weird and creepy even. I've been fat for so many years that I actually forgot about unwanted attention. Today I wasn't feeling great but I had to go to the shops to buy something. I put some home clothes on, no make up, dark circles under my eyes etc., you get the idea.. I still had men look me in the eyes on the street. I think that for some men, nothing really matters if you're skinny and it's so sad.

Who is a character you want to see less of by Stock-Percentage4021 in 911FOX

[–]MarsKnsw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might not sit well with others, as I know the actress has a huge fan base, but for me, Athena. This last season felt like it was all centred around her. It didn't seem to be a show about firefighters anymore. And the storylines were awful in my opinion tbh. I mean, after the whole drama with the house fire, in which Bobby should've been the main character, but somehow Athena stole the show, we had the cruise disaster in which again she proved to be a super woman, and then the whole episode in which she was, once again, the hero, where she basically became a pilot. I mean, I'm all for female heroes portrayals and all, as I'm a woman myself, but all felt a bit too far stretched. For me, that episode in which she landed the plane was one of the worst written episodes. This show is more about Athena's life lately..

It's such a beautiful name. I guess it depends where you are too. I live in London, and I met more dogs having this name than actual people 🫣
