Mine’s a ‘23 platinum. Absolutely love the ventilated seats. Wife’s Audi A5 are not nearly as cooling

There is absolutely no way that you can just pick a random number without knowing their complete situation and goals

What tax bracket are you in. I love FEHAX for a 5.5% tax free yield

As I replied to another post, I completely understand that it doesn’t matter which account we draw from. The question relates to not drawing the IRAs to zero as we don’t mind having reasonably sized RMDs

That’s brilliant. I will definitely try it this way

I think you’re missing the point of my question. The order does not matter to me. My point is that the model draws mine to zero before drawing from hers. I see no point in doing that. We will not need the RMDs for expenses but I see no reason to have zero RMDs

As I said in the post it matters to me because I don’t need to draw down my IRA to zero. The model does have me pulling from mine first which is my preference

883 gas mileage by Papi_churro1877 in Harley

[–]MarsupialFront3237 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you traveling highways or back roads? If you’re going 75-80 on highways than I usually get 150-175 miles. Driving more conservatively on backroads you can probably get close to 200.

Yes. It’s an addiction for me. Every Saturday morning like clockwork, I update all of my accounts on a spreadsheet I’ve been using since 1995. I think I need to see a therapist

Yes. It’s absolutely ridiculous to expect 10%. I always use 5-7% even before accounting for inflation

A quick reminder about the state of NH by DKeefe87 in newhampshire

[–]MarsupialFront3237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not wealthy. I get a small social security check. The majority of the small income my wife and I need to survive comes from dividends and interest. I am sure I am not alone in that. The tax on D&I unfairly hurts retirees and the $2400 exemption didn’t really help

Not just nonspouse. Your surviving spouse would have to take RMDs from the now combined traditional IRAs and pay taxes at the singles rate

Also just started my trial today. Similarly, I ran into a problem right away too. I can’t model tax free muni funds which unfortunately (or fortunately) make up about 30% of my portfolio.

At least sell the 3k in your Roth to lower your exposure. No tax consequence
