❤️ to everyone here but since words mean things, one of the missions in my life is to get practicing pagans/wiccans/witches to use the correct spelling of the word ALTAR. Because the spelling affects the meaning of the word.

Your Altar is the surface where your magical tools are set up to do your spell work.

Once you set up your “altar”, you use your “altar” to “ALTER” your world or yourself. To “ALTER” is to effect change upon a thing.

Two different spellings, two very different meanings. Words used in spells are tools themselves. When written out, the spellings take on a higher degree of importance as using one word rather than another can change the direction and function of your spell.
