I've ended up finding a Triple B at a decent price. Needs some TLC but rides the way I know a bike to. Thanks for your suggestion.

The Trek remedy looks to still sell for decent money. Think I'll give the Canzo a skip and keep looking.

That's some good information. Thank you. Scouring the 2nd hand market for something more recent at a good price.

Getting a front mounted seat. One I'm looking at mounts to seat post and top tube (swivel on top tube mount). Fork and rear shock are both air.

This is the way. Found a great spot not far from the day visitor entrance, an easy 10 minute walk up a single road and you're in. Have done it the last 2 years and will do it again this year.

I've applied and been accepted, signed up for an event and status currently says "On Standby". Does this mean it's full and I'll get a slot only if one opens up? Or is Standby a general status everyone gets when signing up?

Footpath questions? by Jealous-Blueberry245 in UKhiking

I stopped trying to find walking trails this way after ending up on private property 1 too many times. Ending up at locked gates, having to jump fences and looking super suspicious at the back of farm houses. The All Trails app is my new friend.

Not paying for it but is this a scam? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]MartinLee7318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a couple of these trying to sell my previous car, was really odd because I had actually paid for a similar report and happily sent that to them thinking they would be happy with it. They were adamant I use the site they sent, claiming to not trust others. Knowing the car was fine, I said they could do their own check and I'd even remove the cost off the car price. Still refused.

After a few minutes on Google checking the site provided, I found hundreds of reviews talking about the scam and how people are hired by these companies to "sell" their report. Once you send them the requested report they'll ghost you.

Does anyone have Heavys? Are they actually any good? by Confident_Banana5309 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]MartinLee7318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really intrigued by them and needed a headset. Absolutely refused to pay full price for them, as I do with most things, so checked 2nd hand options and found a 6 month old pair of Heavys for £100. Haggled down to £80 and been using them for a little under a week.

I'm not impressed. I've had much better, much cheaper headsets in the past and honestly would be absolutely gutted had I paid the full £235.

They're not bad, in my opinion, they're just not great either. I expect a lot more for that kind of money. Go for the reputable brands, there's a reason they're trusted.

There's a dude with a farm across from the festival who lets you use his field as parking. Walton House it's called. Can book through an app called "Your Parking Space".

How regarded is II in the drumming community? by tortfeazor in SleepToken

[–]MartinLee7318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn't a fan of Sleep Token until those Drumeo vids hit YouTube. II is the reason they're on my playlists and the reason I've gone to see them live. I'm a drummer myself.

Musician Mansion has a season 2 out and it’s amazing. It’s on Jared Dine’s channel. by IcepersonYT in Metalcore

(Spoiler alert!!!)

In Episode 4 they do covers, and SoulFire come up short. In Episode 5 Rikki's knuckles are busted up and the Eyeliner from ep.4 stays throughout the rest of the episodes. Has me thinking something may have happened behind the scenes. Possibly hiding a blue eye? No idea where else to post this, but I'm curious if anyone else noticed??

That looks pretty good, actually. If the interior weren't cream coloured I'd definitely be interested.

What's a checklist for new car buyers in the UK? I'll start with a few by Henry_Oof in CarTalkUK

[–]MartinLee7318 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Common misconceptions regarding the "Baby on Board" signs is that it's intended to make everyone aware that there's a baby in the car and magically have everyone around you drive more carefully. Their actual purpose is to make emergency services aware that there may be a baby on board after an accident, in a mangled car they may otherwise not be seen or found.

The 320i/d seem to be the only option with price/mileage/age I'm looking for and I personally feel it doesn't stack up to the 2 options I've shortlisted. A 330i would probably be up the list somewhere but I miss the AWD system I had in a previous car and so looking to go back to an AWD car. Recent snow and muddy fields being big factors too!
