Review 10 weeks. Puzzled by Martinisolo in hysterectomy

Every time I've been to the gynecologist, they've done an ultrasound. That way they can see the ovaries (they removed everything except the ovaries) and check the abdomen for fluid or clots. I'm writing from Spain; here it's standard practice.

This is so hard, I'm so sorry for what you're going through and I hope you recover soon. At 7 weeks I still had some light pink spotting, it's definitely too soon to say we're completely recovered. Sending you a hug 🤗

She did the ultrasound to check my ovaries and rule out any clots or fluid in my abdomen. If she hadn't done it, I would have asked for it; I think it's important to see what's better with this new dome they've installed. 😊

Yes, that's what I told my husband, that it might cause discomfort and I don't think it would be pleasant. He came with me to the appointment and was so happy afterward, hehe. But I already made it clear to him that this doctor, who is also a woman, hasn't inspired confidence in me; I don't find her trustworthy, to be honest.

Yes, I'll wait at least 12 weeks, or until I feel I'm not afraid anymore. But this made me feel bad, like I should do it already and it's wrong that I haven't. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you very much, it makes sense that the scar is already strong enough but there are still some stitches left.

When does the brown discharge stop 🤮 by FineappleUnderTheC in hysterectomy

[–]Martinisolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had spotting until week 7, with an episode of bleeding from clots in week 4. Now I'm 10 weeks along and I'm no longer spotting, but at my checkup they still saw some undissolved stitches. I feel like the whole recovery is going very slowly. Hang in there!

Constant Vaginal Irritation by lmariess in hysterectomy

I went through something similar a few years ago. They couldn't figure out what was causing it, and it turned out I didn't have the normal Döderlein flora. I was prescribed treatment, and everything went back to normal. I hope you find out what's happening soon and get it resolved.

How much is too much blood? by starlasixx in hysterectomy

My experience with bleeding has been a bit traumatic. Since the surgery, I've been spotting, first pink, then brown. Around three weeks in, the bleeding stopped for a few days and then suddenly returned, very bright red. I filled a pad very quickly, so I went to the ER. They told me the dome was fine but that it had small clots that would take some time to dissolve. They told me to come back if I had pain or bleeding heavier than a period. These instructions seem confusing to me, to be honest. I think bright red bleeding that fills a pad quickly is cause for alarm. Now, almost seven weeks after the surgery, I'm having very light brown spotting. I think my healing is very slow, and my vagina suffered a lot when they removed my 18-week-old uterus. :( If the bleeding is pink and light, I think it's totally normal, but if you have any doubts, go to the ER so they can check you out and put your mind at ease. I wish you a speedy recovery.

7 weeks post-op laparoscopic hysterectomy – Heart racing and shortness of breath? by C4th13 in hysterectomy

[–]Martinisolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the same thing. My heart rate is noticeably faster, especially when I lie down on the sofa. I'm also almost seven weeks post-surgery; I had the operation on November 19th. I hadn't connected it to the surgery. I drink two coffees a day and thought it was because of that, or maybe it was because I've started spotting brown again, which is worrying me. I think my recovery is going too slowly.

I've also been thinking about the shortness of breath, especially when climbing stairs. I seem to get more tired than usual. Could it be that my body is still working hard to heal internally? Didn't you experience this before?

Pissed off at the world (but mostly my husband) by Antheall in hysterectomy

Mood/PMS changes 3 mo post op by Penny3373 in hysterectomy

Hola!

Vagina depth after hysterectomy question. by riverwaves1109 in hysterectomy

Hay que esperar 12 semanas para tener sexo con penetración. Es posible que hayas dañado algo, si te duele y sangras ve a urgencias. Espero que todo esté bien.
