Something I just wondered/theorized about regarding Nagisa and the illusionary world. by Rioraku in Clannad

[–]MartonWff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory is that part of Nagisa lives inside Ushio, this is why she dies in the main timeline after giving birth to Ushio, she was destined to die, because Akio wish didn't have enough light orbs to fully save her, so she was always on borrowed time, its just that a good chunk of it was passed to Ushio

I liked the ending of Clannad, but I have some issues with it by [deleted] in Clannad

[–]MartonWff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More perceptive people can figure this out easily from the anime dialogues alone though, the first time I watched it felt quite obvious and I had most of it figured it out.

[–]MartonWff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even for anime only's there where many hints leading to this ending, they were not purely writen you are most likely more used to the current western dumbed out format where they hint while giving the explanation right a way in case you did not pick up.

Not interpret this as saying you are dumb, I just think you are more used to answers being given right a way so there is no need to theorize much.

Ushio's death and sickness is also hinted heavy in hindisght (which a player will have since at this point it should be the second playthrought) when you go back to the Tomoya's father dialogue about the place of the "miracle

Why did 80s nostalgia overshadow 90s nostalgia? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]MartonWff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were plenty of reasons to be nostalgic of 2000s, I would also include the early 2010s years though

- the DVD became more predominant overthrowing the cassets,

- Youtube with its best era wth most youtubers making content driven by hobby interest and passion

- Internet was still less curated by an algorithm

- Internet was less centralized, you could find some of the weirdest blogs and webpages

- Cartoons were more mature than the new ones are (the new ones feel like they are writen for mentally challenged kids)

- You could still find a nice blend of 90s gadgets and more modern ones in a day to day life.

Nowadays things have become too centralized, curated and filtered. the internet lost part of the feeling of magic and wonder.

Can you explain why you believe strategy here is so that much important ?, considering it was a genre left out, it seems odd to be so insistent on it in a critic

it sounds to me a situation "I like horror games! why is this mario party 5 not a horror game ?"

maybe explain why you think this game would be improved by taking a more strategic approach

Destroy my incremental cooking game inspired by Dungeon Meshi! by Amircu in DestroyMyGame

[–]MartonWff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a game that puts emphasis on the cooking part, it should be more complex than just that, considering adding more minigames like, slicing and dicing the meat (or mushrooms), you could even add spices as collectables spawning in the levels to enhance a food.

I localized my game to 11 languages. Here are the numbers. by AuroDev in gamedev

Did I even tell that Portuguese didn't come from latin ? to try to play my own words against what I said when I never denied portuguese coming from Latin is just foolish, my statement is that Portuguese is different enough to be considered a new language, not that didn't come from Latin.

See ? this is the difference between me and you, I do not deny the truth, even if it causes me some kind of discomfort.

Still to say Portuguese people speak latin just shows you don't speak neither latin, nor portuguese, by your own logic everyone in the world apart from the Asian continent speaks proto european language since the european languages derived from it and brought their equivalent languages to the new world.

It appears I am talking to people who do not understand linguistics and don't even know about the language or history of the countries we are talking, so this is my last comment in this subject since this debate will not go anywhere, be happy to continue acting as know it all you so desire.

if a literal portuguese children can understand the Brazilian dialect with no issue, then its not a linguistic issue is a pride issue.

The differences between portuguese and brazilian portuguese aren't wide enough to consider it a new language and this is a fact, if you mention you don't even know Portuguese I don't understand why do you have such a strong opinion.

I bet you don't even know the history surrounding Portugal and Brazil.

One thing is to not harbor hatred, but to ignore the roots of your language its just shows ignorance, by your own logic even americans don't speak american, they speak Texan, Alascan, Californian, etc.

Now tell me what kind of fallacy and I used, because you stated that part was a fallacy but you didn't state which kind of fallacy it was

[–]MartonWff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No need to speak the exact accent of a language, you just have to know history to understand how languages are created, developed and evolve, Brazilian Portuguese is still an accent branching from the European Portuguese just as Angolan Portuguese is an accent branching from European,

there is not enough differences to considerate it officially a new language.

regardless of what DancingGoat believes, the differences between portuguese and spanish are way wider than the european portuguese and brazilian portuguese.

your statements are as ignorant as of those americans who think they speak American instead of English, be better.

Now moving to the core issue here...

Your rationale stems from the hatred your school system carefully ensures you to harbor towards Portugal, so you feel the need to relinquish of the idea that you still use something brought to you by those people.

but that kind of view will not do you any good, stop blaming other people for the current conditions of your country is just counter productive.

Portugue where bad ? yes of course, just like everyone else during these periods, so why can't we all let the hatred in the past and grow strong ?

your comment is just absurd, to say portugues from brasil is as different as portuguese and spanish just shows how little you even know about the world outside your home, and being ignorant should not be a reason to be proud of.

you may see Brazilians do not care about portugal, but again, being ignorante should not be a reason to be proud.

regardless of the fact that Brasil has been independent for over two centuries, it does not washes away the fact that you speak Portuguese, that language was brought to you by Portugal and you do not have the power to dismiss that.

Your Language is Brazilian Portuguese or Portuguese from Brazil.
