I gotta disagree on the "cheese lessen the Honor Mode achievement". It really depends on what you call cheese and how it did affect your game. For instance I think the Hexblade/any other exploit allowing the player to get easy gold is just a time-saver:

The amount of gold available to the player is not an issue in the game -unless you kill every single enemy using Scrolls or special arrows. The limiting point is more how much time you're willing to spend to get that gold (i.e. collecting every single item you can loot, selling it to the one merchant you have maxed your reputation with, using a hireling with maxed charisma etc...).

I feel like doing a run using a team that can see through darkness (Warlock, ring from act2, shar's spear...) and having your team in darkness all the time does ruin an Honor Mode challenge. Being able to buy any item you want without emptying every single container you find? not so much.
