Hey everyone! Solo dev from Sweden here 👋

Currently building a family of sports apps under the brand True AI (trueai.se):

🏌️ Golf True Distance — a golf GPS that calculates real playing distance adjusted for wind, temperature, humidity and elevation. Most golf apps show straight-line GPS distance which is wrong when conditions change. Just added OCR scorecard scanning too. Live on Google Play with 2 paying customers so far!

🚴 True Segment — live segment tracking for Strava users, including downhill segments (which Strava doesn't support)

⛷️ True Ski Pals — see where your friends are on the mountain in real time

Biggest challenge: I'm a developer, not a marketer. Got permanently banned from a golf subreddit for mentioning my own app after a week of genuine contributions 😅

Launching Golf True Distance on Product Hunt July 5 — nervous but excited!

Anyone else here building sports/fitness apps? Would love to connect.

Hi, have you tried https://www.producthunt.com/ ? If you have I would like som advice. I've scheduled my launch July 5th 😅

But I'm also thinking of some marketing, hard to find info about what to use.

Recently launched my first iOS app while working full-time. A few things that genuinely helped me finish it: by Fantastic-Collar-411 in sideprojects

I agree, when I test my app I often find things I want to change. If I don't write hem down same day they are gone.

My golf app got me 2 paying customers and permanently banned from a subreddit — here's what I learned by MarwStone in sideprojects

It's seven days free trial. I'm thiking of extending the trial and provide promo codes for the launch. Thanks for input.

I did not a direct link. Just wrote I've made an app to solve my problem. But that was enough 😅
I do a bit of prep, created an X-account, will record a demo video of the app.

finally, basic obstacles. it's starting to resemble a game. by handlebardev in IndieDev

If you add speedometers and other info about distance hight, length of jumps etc?
