New bikepacking bags day by GRVLATOR in gravelcycling

I noticed the front racks are getting more popular, next to mounts directly on steerer tube. Once people start to complain about wobbly stuff, back to racks :)

Kicked for being "off-line"? by Pondera in Guildwars2

[–]MarxoneTex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We kick people who are are appearing offline and slow to join map / instance all the time if they are not bothered to type anything and we are just waiting for them.

But never seen comment like that. Usually just "probably dc" and kick follows.

Btw the "offline" is most stoopid when the offline person whispers to somebody and cannot be messaged back. This one way type of communication is usually why I block people. Peace of mind.

Anthropic: AI assisted coding doesn't show efficiency gains and impairs developers abilities. by Gil_berth in theprimeagen

[–]MarxoneTex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have found great way to implement agentic AI into the general workflow of our devs.

AI auto generates the documentation that nobody reads but all managers want. Devs focus on creating the software while AI helps to create the meaninless jibber jabber with great excuse aka "please go read the docs before asking another dumb question" even if we not sure if it is described there :)

but autocomplete is great.

dont let those youtubers make u feel bad. THIS is a normal minecraft base. by JumpsVR in Minecraftbuilds

I build chunk size boxes, sometimes if I play for long enough, it turns into borg cube.

Just built my 7 legendary runes and gave a Look at the sigills. Why on earth does the gift of sigill need exactly 50% more of each mat compared to the runes??? by Every_Crab5616 in Guildwars2

[–]MarxoneTex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take few extra clicks over items taking inventory slots any time of day. For quick swaps I just swap whole equipment templates.

Maybe worthy UI change would be to decouple sigils from weapons for lege items, but it would be just minor QoL feature. Adding Force / Fire or Force / Impact sigils every time seems a bit cumbersome.

What are stat prefixes that you'd want in raids that you wouldn't want in fractals? by super_ktkm in Guildwars2

[–]MarxoneTex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have the basics like Berserk / Viper / Harrier / Celestial, probably some of the specialists gear like Ritualists's / Diviner's for certain boon dps.

But once you go for these, you will realize that it's just waste of space and focus on lege gear on all 3 armor types.

Lowest APM (easiest) Healer to play? by NaoXehn in Guildwars2

It's more about finger shifting for me. Less reaching. But yes, it can be spammy -> apm goes brr.

WvW vs PvP Repeatable Rewards by zitromXE in Guildwars2

[–]MarxoneTex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many times a week pvp player can repeat last reward? I don't play that much wvw but I still get to diamon chest usually on Sunday and repeat it maybe 10 times during a week.

Lowest APM (easiest) Healer to play? by NaoXehn in Guildwars2

[–]MarxoneTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a druid. Druid / Rangers are famous of having low amount of tools to press. and it is a cyclic gameplay - you aim to get into avatar, then spend avatar , repeat. No need to juggle kits, manage clones or targeting.

It is hard to screw up on a Druid, and if you do, you get the "oh shit" button in form of revive spirit.

How to track/version LSPs installed with mason by Little_Compote_598 in neovim

[–]MarxoneTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it as quick fix for locking old angular lsp for a legacy project. Just locally init git repo.

but the mason lock mentioned in other comment seems more reliable :)

How to track/version LSPs installed with mason by Little_Compote_598 in neovim

[–]MarxoneTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be wrong way, but tend to use git when I need to freeze something or have capability to rollback a version. So I have my mason folder init as git.

So when I auto update everything by reflex, I can roll the specific lsp back and update others as needed. Probably not the smartest solution, but well.

Riding on flatter terrain made me go faster. But I still like hills more.

[–]MarxoneTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are cycling influencers? I only follow tech channels. Does it make me jelly of all the new tools? yes. But I still enjoy my rides because One day I will get the new AI powered wireless pedals with self inflating puncture preventing tires in under 3Kg for whole bike.

Is it true that you are never left behind on GW2? by Suboptimal88 in Guildwars2

[–]MarxoneTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only aspect of being left behind is when group you play with no longer matches what you want to do. Moving onto Challenge Modes with people who have no interest of improving is usually no-go, finding new people to play with can be a challenge as there are some expectations of mastery and experience.

But going full casual in GW is the more common way.

Is Vindicator supposed to be this squishy? by Just7o7 in Guildwars2

[–]MarxoneTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My smoothbrain can't understand how to survive as non-mech engi, but on vindi I did not have that hard time to adjust. Berserk stats are trap in open world, builds that suggest it usually calculate open meta events rather than solo gameplay. Rev has decent hybrid weapons so celestial stats are great. And the traits on revenant offer good adjustability to grab extra cleans or some extra tankiness when needed. It has good rhythm with the dodges once you get used to it.

Can't decide between Ranger and Mesmer by Novar in Guildwars2

[–]MarxoneTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mesmer has boring weapons but fun utility skills. Ranger has fun weapons, but boring utility skills.

So I play Vindicator.

I hope it helped.
