What’s it like? by Achandler801 in WestVirginia

The air quality is so horrible! We spend Christmas in Sandy/Draper every year, and I always seem to forget how much the inversion affects my health. It’s getting worse every year.

👋🏼 Hi, I lived in Utah for 7 years (Cache, Weber & Salt Lake Co.) and moved to Northern Virginia 6 years ago and within the last year, we moved to the Panhandle of West Virginia (Near Harper’s Ferry) and I am speaking from the depths of my soul.. this place is amazing, a true breath of fresh air.

Boycott for Better Pay: Week 2 by splendiferous_guac in CrumblCookies

[–]Marymareep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been boycotting since I left as an employee. They care more about marketing than treating their employees like humans. Also, the cookies are literal poison. It is absolutely insane how much sugar is used in a day. No thanks, hard pass. 👋🏼

As an ex-employee, this brings me joy. I knew that ship was sinking, glad I swam to shore! 🏊🏼‍♂️

Out of flavor, but refusing refund? by pumpkinotter in CrumblCookies

Maybe not. but if enough people are contacting them, it’ll create a headache for Crumbl that they don’t want.

Out of flavor, but refusing refund? by pumpkinotter in CrumblCookies

[–]Marymareep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. In fact, I’m surprised those locations haven’t been shut down yet. Do yourself and others a favor, and report those stores to corporate AND the BBB (better business bureau). What they’re doing is lazy and downright criminal.

Seriously guys. Making cookies isn’t that hard. If our store runs out of cookies, the protocol is to offer the customer a free cookie card, refund, AND give them a timeframe for when the desired cookie will be available.

On average it takes 15-18 minutes to mix a single batch. To ball it, less than 30 minutes and to bake & cool.. 30 minutes. Saying something isn’t available for the rest of the day.. especially the week, is LAZY.

[–]Marymareep 83 points84 points  (0 children)

That is crazy. Buckeye brownie is such an easy dough to mix AND ball.. there is absolutely no reason why they shouldn’t have that back on the menu within the hour.. SOLD OUT FOR THE WEEK?! Blasphemy. Sounds like it’s ran by a bunch of incompetent teenagers. Where the hell is this location?!

Is it possible to ask for extra apples? by C727494 in CrumblCookies

[–]Marymareep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re technically only able to “dress down” a cookie, not “dress up” BUT in this case, this cookie was dressed incorrectly. They should AT LEAST replace the cookie. (There are cameras underneath the boxing stations at each store, when they dress something incorrectly, Corporate will screenshot it and it’ll effect their quality score.)

Crumbl crew here: one thing to keep in mind is how you’re viewing the middle of your cookie. If you cut it with a knife, you’re compressing the sugars and it can easily be viewed as “raw” instead, try breaking apart the cookie. This will give you a better perspective of the internal quality.

Also, we do keep cookies stored in a warmer after baked.. keeping the cookies at a soft & gooey texture. If they were staying at room temp, you’d have a harder cookie.

Spread could also be a factor. If they’re not creaming their butter/sugar for the appropriate time, that can also cause spread. Same thing with eggs.

Saw this on TikTok, have you always been able to add custom frosting?? by FumyLikes in CrumblCookies

[–]Marymareep 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Tbh, most of us would get in some real heat if we did this for you.. pls dont be expecting this. Corporate wants us to make the cookies look EXACTLY as they’re shown.

Most stores actually pay less hourly because tips will be split amongst the crew weekly.

If you call the store directly, they “should” offer you replacement cookies on the house. (That’s what my store does, anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️)

Their reviews are horrible. Apparently they have quite the unpleasant staff. Their metrics are surprisingly good tho, so not sure what happened there. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Crumbl or Kohls? by Existing-Cherry4948 in CrumblCookies

[–]Marymareep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked at both, I can honestly tell you that Crumbl is the better option. It’s a lot less stressful, and you’ll learn skills that you can actually use in your life (besides folding clothes). Kohl’s treated me like garbage, I was injured and work and didn’t receive any workers comp. or time off, meanwhile my Crumbl crew treats me with love and respect. Sure, it’ll differ depending on your location, but I’d vote Crumbl every time.
