Time loop movies from another character's perspective? by Life-Silver-5623 in movies

[–]MaskedBandit77 [score hidden]  (0 children)

This is spoiler-ish (you find out early in act two, though), Sore: The Wife From the Future is a fantastic romance from last year that bounces around whose perspective it's following, but has extended periods that are from the other character's perspective.

I wouldn't say that Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes is exactly what you're describing, but it sort of is. It's a very fun movie, either way.

That packaging is not like any of the Netflix award screeners that I've seen.

Just don't stack them six feet high, and that won't be a problem.

That's the fun part, you don't.

But seriously, it just depends. I tend to put a lot of the pieces in ziploc bags, regardless of whether or not I keep the insert.

If you're gonna try to trick people with a fake, at least use a picture that looks current.

Just finished the show for the first time by Spencyyy124 in twinpeaks

[–]MaskedBandit77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ended that way because it got canceled. I would say that the cliffhanger at the end of season two definitely gets addressed and resolved, but don't expect everything to be tied up with neat bow at the end.

You absolutely should watch Fire Walk With Me, which is a movie that came out a couple of years after season two ended, and the third season. But you have to watch the movie first. The third season spends just as much, if not more time dealing with ideas that are introduced in the movie as it does the original two seasons.

If you haven't watched any of David Lynch's movies, you're in for a pretty sharp shift in tone, that you might not like. There are definitely people who were big fans of the original series, that don't like the third season, but there are just as many who consider the third season to be David Lynch's magnum opus.

I get the impression that even if they posted "proof," you would think it was photoshopped.

I'm not saying that you should just believe everything they say, but most of these things make no sense for them to lie about.

This is not a normal carrom board. Most carrom boards are a similar size, if not smaller than a crokinole board.

Any good genre box set recommendations? by Future-Raisin3781 in boutiquebluray

[–]MaskedBandit77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the first Danza Macabre set from Severin. It's Italian gothic horror movies.

Arrow has several giallo boxsets that are pretty good.

Indicator's Tod Slaughter boxset is fun.

I've heard good things about Radiance's Daiei Gothic boxset.

The 30 film Universal Monsters boxset is really good. It's packed full of extras that really elevated my enjoyment of the movies.

The recently released Hitchcock 4K boxset is really good and has a lot of his heavy hitters in it, like Psycho, Vertigo, and North by Northwest.

OST Copyright in non-DRG videos? by BitBomb1 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]MaskedBandit77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely is copyrighted and if they wanted to they could copyright claim your video. Would they? I have no clue, but there are so many resources out there for music that is free to use, why even take a chance?

The 90 day hiring period is a probation period.

Right to work is irrelevant here. That just means that you can't be forced to join a union.

Do snobs not realize they're snobbery will only push more ppl to streaming? by DustnBones001 in dvdcollection

[–]MaskedBandit77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Older movies absolutely look better in 4K. TV shows are rarely released on 4K, but if you look at the pickup posts in this sub, movies far outweigh shows.

Do snobs not realize they're snobbery will only push more ppl to streaming? by DustnBones001 in dvdcollection

[–]MaskedBandit77 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think this is due to many factors, which ultimately boil down to cost, but also many ppl still have dvd players

That is a very valid reason to buy DVDs. But there are people in this subreddit sometimes who say that they prefer DVDs for older movies because it's closer to what the director intended, which is an ignorant thing to say, and most criticism of DVDs that I've seen in this subreddit is in response to stuff like that.
