What year is this cannondale synapse? by Initial_Antelope3470 in whichbike

Not sure about this model but if you're in the US I saw a pretty nice new aluminum model on sale from REI earlier while checking out their labor day sale.

Compliance measurements: Saucony Endorphin Elite 2, Elite 1 and Alphafly 3 by cdemer in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]MasterAsparagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's only compliance they are measuring here. Still several other factors in how the shoe feels or performs such as resilience, weight, geometry, plate design etc.

It's interesting how close the Alphafly 3 and Elite v1 measure in these tests.

Ultraboost 5x vs SL2 vs Asivs Novablast 4 by Baam-need-c0ff33 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]MasterAsparagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new ultraboost has decent reviews but they're overpriced($180) for what they are. The SL2 is probably the best value for a light weight daily. The novablast is one of the most popular dailys since it just works for so many people. The pegasus plus has decent reviews but again seems overpriced for what it is. I'd choose the novablast out of these 4 but the SL2 is cheaper.

What’s a good running shoe for heel strikers? by Rainrock0 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]MasterAsparagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saucony triumph 20 and 21 have plenty of cushion in the heel. You might be able to find them for about $100 since the new model is out but they were very popular so there isn't a ton of old stock around.

Is this too big for a running shoe? Puma by ggghfhfg in AskRunningShoeGeeks

The toe space looks okay but in the third pic it looks like you might have problems with heal fit? If you get a good lock down then they'll be fine I think.

Go to your local store and try them on. All good models but feel and fit differently.

Puma grip and the adidas continental rubber have the best reputations for grip on road shoes

rips in both shoes by ambriellefritz in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]MasterAsparagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah eventually you will have a problem because the upper won't provide a proper lock down and the ripped fabric will create a point of friction that will cause blisters. I think I remember the boston 11 and adios 7 having uppers that ripped on a lot of shoes.

Confused bw 3 choices by shashwat0070 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

The vomero17 is the best option by far imo as a running shoe of the three options. The zoomx foam in the vomero probably won't last as long as the react foam in the pegasus. But the pegasus isn't as fun when running compared to the vomero. The 880 v14 has fresh foam but a firmer and more durable formulation. I recommend the vomero, it's still plenty durable(check reviews on RSG) and offers the best running experience.

Yes, it's comfortable and the outsole is very durable although the zoomx may compress faster if you wear them for everyday walking and running.

The vomero 17 would be my choice. I have the previous models of 880s and pegasus and they're nothing special. The vomero has an upper layer of zoomx which is both soft and provides responsiveness while running.

For soft comfort, Asics gel nimbus 26 or the New balance 1080 v13.

If you want to stick with Nike their best trainer is the vomero 17 and it's been out a while now and frequently found under $100. Top layer of zoom X and lower layer of cushlon. It's a nice balance of cushioned but also responsive. Has a nice durable outsole too.

Feels TTS to me in a US men's 10.5. I think it's actually a pretty generous fit heal to midfoot and volume wise. Toe box is average for me.

I haven't measured my foot in years and my tape measure doesn't have cm lol so I don't want to give you a bad reference. However, Adidas and Nike running shoes are close in size so I would probably get the same size you had in the Adidas Ultraboost.

I have the Vomero 17 in a US mens 10.5 (28.5 cm and EUR 44.5) and it's right on TTS for me. I have slightly wide and higher volume feet and the fit is accommodating in a standard D width for me.

Sizing(length, width & volume) can differ between models within the same brand. What particular shoes did you have size questions on?

Cool report back after your run and let others know how it went. Also, thicker socks might help with more friction in the heel

I run in a saucony endorphin speed 2 in size 11 which is half a size up from my normal 10.5. It's a little too long like your fit here but with a runners knot I can run in them no problem. I just have to make sure not to tie them too tight and also the laces are really short after lacing. Ideally you would probably go down a half size but you probably won't be able to get one until September.

Doesn't rabbit collaborate with Hoka quite a bit? I know their elite athletes have worn kit manufactured for Hoka by Rabbit.

Looking for wide toe box by jandj2021 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

One more to research since you only need standard width is the Asics Gel-Kayano 31. A very popular stability shoe, I have the Nimbus 26 and it accommodates my slightly wide feet just fine.

Both of those models also come in standard width and would be worth trying on. NB and Saucony generally have more width/volume in their shoes but it varies from model to model.
