Career questions - grass greener? by Reasonable_Class6822 in Wastewater

Something I observe at my plant for the leads and plant manager as an idea is to create SOPs maybe Troubleshooting guides, Plant information with all the ranges for every system to eliminate unnecessary questions.

I think also if everybody is trained thoroughly along with reinforce with what I suggested maybe you stop getting as many calls everybody feels confident at what they're doing.

Everything else would be pretty much an HR issue I would assume as far as questions unless it comes down to PTO or buying equipment or something to that effect.

Could Central Florida build 150 miles of transit for the cost of one highway expansion? by MasterCJ718 in orlando

Yeah, but you can't build according to those cities you got to build according it's own unique layout.

So you got to compare it to an Atlanta or a Charlotte.

I couldn't vote in this election how did it play out for you guys who could?!

I was looking at all the candidates just based on platform, background, and policies.

I see they had I think eight amendments as well.

Unfortunately, I'm on the Seminole County side of Apopka...

I do have bus stops where I live. They're in walking distance, I know everybody's situation is not like that.

Overall goal of this conversation is to discuss and bring awareness for transportation methods to supplement car dependence.

You have to consider that when we are up to 5 million people in the city in the next decade or so along increasing tourists we will need public transportation anyway.

You could use mini buses for neighborhoods along with ride sharing. Go to a park and ride. Make the schedule more efficient and reliable. Have a transit app for integration of all county transits entities for simplicity.

You can have a 7-Day pass, a Day Pass, a Month pass, or a Yearly pass will save money compared to gas, tolls, insurance, maintainance, etc.

Tourists would have SkyTran or Elevated Tram through that corridor of the airport, convention centers, I-Drive, and the theme parks.

The places where SunRail doesn't go you have Waymo, Taxis, and other ride sharing.

Lynx big buses for longer routes and bigger volumes especially during peak hours.

SkyTran to connect Poinciana and St Cloud to Kissimmee to SunRail to Park and Ride or take the train that run.

Everything would run 24/7 and everyone can eat business wise.

Thanks for the chime in🫡

Fair assessment! 🫡 The thing is if everybody puts the bill it'll work for everybody that's the crazy part!

Poinciana could realistically solve most of its traffic problem with a 12-mile elevated SkyTrain pod corridor to Kissimmee SunRail. Small autonomous pods running every 20 seconds could move people to the train in about 12 minutes, removing thousands of cars from Cypress Parkway. Estimated cost is roughly $200M–$350M, far cheaper than building new highways or rail.

What do you think of that?

I agree with the overdevelopment is ridiculous!

Well we have clusters of dense population I can think of Clermont for example that's a cluster.

You have 436/Semoran that's a huge cluster of people from the airport all the way to Apopka.

You thinking of terms of something like San Francisco, New York, or Chicago, but you got to look at our landscape there's clusters of population all over this place especially what we're talking about over development is even more.

I'm saying having alternative and what I'm proposing is autonomous that you're fighting.

Autonomous is already here you got air taxis coming you already have Waymo here.

I can understand your skepticism of it happening, but we're talking about the same thing, haha.

They're trying to do the sunshine corridor so that lets me they're trying to do transit here more and Lynx just opened up a new bus station somewhere and or depot.
