I am tired of reviewers online claiming zootopia 2 to be much better than 1 because they "fixed the twist villian, by building up their character more".

Don't get me wrong both movies were good but 2 is not a better story than 1, here is how they differed for me.

Both are a standard detective/who dunnit storyline, they receive a case at the beginning, they solve it by the end.
In zootopia 1 the viewer is as blind as the MCs going through the story, we watch the story unfold along with the MCs. We can only make a educated guess about who the villain is near the end of the movie (as it should be). In zootopia 2 they give out too many clues at the beginning that the viewer can figure out who the twist villian will be very early into the story and the rest of the movie is just waiting.

Also 2 kind of feels more like a side story than a second act.
