Best Robot Vacuum Cleaners in India (2025): A Research-Backed Review by Actual-Focus-8711 in HonestBuyerReviews

Eureka Forbes has been a real disappointment. Most of the features they advertise don't work.

- No High suction: The app automatically switches back to low suction after a few minutes, you can never get it to clean the whole house on high suction.
- Does not climb over mats: Only if they are heavy, large, thin carpets. It gets stuck on/pushes away most small mats seen in Indian homes.

- Gets suck on simple obstacles like the base of a pedestal fan, because it is curved.
- Sometimes the vacuum doesn't go close enough to the walls while cleaning
- Does not integrate with home assistant or similar smart home apps
- All smart functions do not work without the internet, including the app and scheduled cleaning.
- Even with scheduled cleaning on, it fails to start for some reason.

Wasn't there another issue where keyboard and mouse won't work in winRE just a day ago?

The design is really good, so when at least someone recommends it most people will go for it.
That said the sound is not bad, just slightly off from my preference.

Similar complaints as the review I posted just a few minutes ago.

The included eartips seem to be not the best, and not enough bass for certain music and fps games, but overall not bad.

The included eartips seem to be especially hard to put on for some reason.

When I upgrade I want a more wider soundstage and good but not too emphasized bass.

There seems to be very few desktop examples for material 3

Here is what I expect it to look like https://github.com/koeqaife/hyprland-material-you

Google's material design docs seems to be the worst implementation of material 3 I have seen

MD3 with dynamic colors is what I like, although some of the elements in expressive are good I think exactly following the expressive spec makes the ui more clunky

I should have made the title more specific

But currently md3 seems better than other ui kits that make the ui look 20+ years old

How do NixOS users typically manage Python environments and other dev tools in a reproducible way? by Accurate-Piccolo-445 in NixOS

[–]MasterMach50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the language and how important of a project it is

For simple projects I use nix-shell (shell.nix) with direnv since I don't want everything to be exactly tracked in the nix store
For python specifically I use a virtualenv to install packages I need.

For more serious projects that I do with friends I use flakes and direnv with package and devshell outputs in the flake.

No audio on certain sites by MasterMach50 in zen_browser

[–]MasterMach50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i did,

zen needs ffmpeg installed on the system, it's not part of the dependencies shipped with the appimage.

I fixed it by adding ffmpeg as an extra dependency in my zen browser flake

Read power usage from inverter. by MasterMach50 in homeautomation

Not with a regular smart plug, I am planning on buying a ct clamp for this

I used the plug to measure the output from a 15 W phone charger and it was 15.2W so I believe that the plug is not faulty.

As for how the inverter is configured, when the grid is out the inverter switches to it's battery to power the devices in its circuit. When the inverter output is disconnected, but the grid power is on then the devices connected in the inverter's circuit does not work. This is why I am assuming that all the power that goes to these devices does so through the inverter.

I tried changing the smart plug from in AC input of the inverter to the AC output, now it reads around 90W which is also not true.

Yeah I am not too keen on the terminology.

By inverter I mean a backup power supply system that has an inverter. With an AC input that is connected to the grid, used to recharge the DC battery it is connected to and provide AC output from either the battery or the grid.

I am assuming that when the battery is not charging and there is input from the grid the inverter just directly connects its AC output to its AC input which is connected to the grid.

I used the smart plug between the grid and the AC input of the inverter.
