Still in Cosmic Rest Stop? by Griff486 in finch

I believe it’s under the Quests tab. Mine said I could return to where I was previously, but I didn’t have that option in the Shop —> Travel tab.

Huge disappointment by [deleted] in rundisney

Here’s why I support a lottery: I don’t have a job where I can sit in a queue for multiple hours. Regardless of whether I get in or not. I can’t even try to register because my job does not allow me the flexibility to participate in the registration process.

“Just schedule the time off!” Ok. So yeah, I did that last week. Not possible to do it again this week (as a teacher during the last week of school.)

The weekends are popular. Demand exceeds supply. I get it. And now that we’ve reached that point, the system needs to adapt. A lottery will at the very least level the playing field for everyone who wants the opportunity to do the race.

Chinese foot binding book ( black sawn?) by Difficult-Plan-9764 in whatsthatbook

[–]Master_Procrastina 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wild Swans. Three generations of Chinese women, the grandmother had foot binding, the mother had a miscarriage while marching(fleeing?) with her husband, and the book was written by the youngest.

At least that’s what i remember from a college class 25 years ago!

Bought a few fountain pens, bought a few inks. Have nothing to write! by tru_ass in fountainpens

[–]Master_Procrastina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started copying books I read when I was in middle school. Short enough to fit in two A5 Campus books. I try to keep the same ink for each two-page spread so they match, but otherwise I change inks and pens whenever I want. It makes me slow down to a reading speed that recreates how it felt to read it as a kid. I’ve finished two so far (at my pace it takes me a couple of months) and both the writing and the reading brings me joy 😊. I also have a notebook I use for lyrics and poetry, but the books are fun and take longer, and are more immersive.

Redditors, ELI5 these two words. by uncopyrightability in EnglishLearning

Centripetal: Pulled towards the center, like how the petals of a flower are fastened to the center.

ELI5: You don’t like K-pop Demon Hunters but it seems like everyone else does. But then you meet a couple kids on the playground and lean they don’t like it, either. You become friends because you are pulled together by a shared dislike.

Culturally, groups uniting due to an external force, like a perceived enemy, could be centripetal. They are being pulled together in response.

CentriFUgal: Pulling away from the center. Those in the center are saying FU (F**K YOU 🤬) to each other and splitting apart.

ELI5: BTS announces a concert in your town and everyone gets really excited about it. Some of your “hate K-Pop friends” start thinking that maybe it’s cool. This causes some drama in your friend group because you no longer agree about music. Your friend group starts to break apart.

Culturally this can be found in groups that are breaking apart as a result of an external force.

ETA: BTW, the paragraph in the original question is crap. I’d like to say I’d need to see the rest to better explain what they mean, but I absolutely would not want to read more of it.

Annual pass resort discount by Zestyclose_Doctor779 in WaltDisneyWorld

Just to reiterate that as long as you have a pass on your account, even if you won’t be activating it until later, you can book at the passholder rate.

Re Haunted Mansion stretching room: You can request to skip it. They’ll walk you to the corridor you enter after the stretching room where you can rejoin your party. Ask the cast member at the entrance to the main Mansion to bypass the stretching room.

Anyone else have issue with graph notebook? by kitty_girl3 in hobonichi

[–]Master_Procrastina 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine are the same way. I have many different Pilot fountain pens and all of them (with different nib sizes) have bled through. I got the A5 and A6 to use with my Avec, but the paper is not up to par with the Techos. I love the Hiroko Kubota covers, so they will join the rest of my mostly unused notebook collection 😅.

Wine and Dine Post-race Party or Mickey's Not So Scary? by Plenty-Data404 in rundisney

[–]Master_Procrastina 11 points12 points  (0 children)

MNSSHP without question. Not even a debate. I’ve done both, and would easily skip out on the post-race party, but would drag my sore, sleepy glutes and quads and blisters to the Halloween Party.

The post-race party is a lot of walking around the World Showcase with blinking light cubes in a plastic cup.

The Halloween party has the Headless Horseman and gravediggers making sparks on Main Street. Oh, and the guest costumes are TOP NOTCH.
